Syrian Free Army signing own death warrant : Comments

By David Singer, published 16/9/2013

This could well signal the end of armaments supplies, funding and promised diplomatic support from America and the West for the Syrian Free Army.

The free Syrian Army has nothing left to lose!
It does need to act and speak with a single united voice! The one problem that effectively prevents empathic nations from supplying more help, arms and equipment!
The only ones signing their own death warrant are the Assad regime, when they chose to resort to chemical warfare against unarmed civilians!
The Sunni rebels outnumber the Assad sympathizers 5 to 1! And given the atrocities already perpetrated, only increased Sunni outrage and enmity.
This struggle can only ever continue until the Assad regime accepts exile or is defeated.
Defeat will also include some of the bloodcurdling brutality the Assad regime dished out!
Clearly the Assad regime is using the delays to move some of its most dangerous chemical weapons arsenal, to sympathetic neighboring states, who will also need to be dealt with one day.
The west does need to pick and support a side.
That side needs to be the more moderate Sunnis, who have even more to lose than the west, in any Middle East conflict!
As some might say, my enemy's enemies are also my friends!

"America and Russia must now both remain focused on collecting and destroying all chemical weapons in Syria - in whoever's possession they happen to be," says the Singer.

Whose interests are being served here, you may ask yourself? Israel's of course. Israel is anxious over other nations in the region having or acquiring chemical weapons which of course it has in addition to its large arsenal of nukes and its sophisticated delivery systems.

Neither Singer nor Israel cares about those killed in the gas attack by forces yet unknown. Not a scrap!

No, like the U.S., Israel only cares about its own interests.

Anything that advances them is kosher with them!

Certainly Syrian chemical weapons acquired by rebel or Hezbollah forces might be a dangerous result for the entire Middle East and Western targets.

The hideous weapons at the command of the warmongering U.S. and its sycophantic Western Allies must be a million times more dangerous than a few stockpiles of sarin gas, Pete.

We need to put things into perspective for a change instead of puffing up the threat posed by so-called terrorists while forgetting to mention massive Western arsenals!

Our world is awash with weapons thanks mainly to the Yanks, the British, the French, etc.

Dear David G.,

<<Whose interests are being served here, you may ask yourself? Israel's of course.>>

It's not that simple and one-dimensional:

What we see in this article is an expression of the new, unspoken, alliances in the middle-east:

The sane-Israeli camp recognise the fanatics of Shiite Iran and its satellites (Hezbollah and Assad) as their enemies, just as these are also the enemies of Jordan, Saudi-Arabia and the rest of the sane Sunni Arab nations, even Egypt. As such, for example, Saudi-Arabia gave its silent consent for Israeli planes to attack Iran through its territory.

The Israeli-settlers on the other hand, are fanatic extremists like their Shiite brethren. The one thing they fear most is peace in the middle-east, where they would lose both their homes and their faith. They therefore find the Shiites as their natural allies.

None would openly admit it of course, but as Singer is pro-settlers, it is no wonder that he is also pro-Assad.

Yeah you're right David

All those AK47s and RPG7s, used by all sides in the Syrian War, were clearly not made in the usual Russian and Chinese factories

but cunningly made by your constant 2 Minutes Hate* - the West.

I'm puzzled why you live here in US and UK dominated Australia?

Instead of the Russia or China - that you never criticize?

Cheers

Pete

Rhrosty: "As some might say, my enemy's enemies are also my friends!"

No. In a modern, complex world, one's WORST enemy may be one's second worst enemy's enemy too. To translate; the US's worst enemy is Assad's worst enemy too, the Islamists.

Of course, if Assad is shown to have conclusively used chemical weapons on his own women and children, then he should he creamed. But a worse enemy would be the Islamists, whom the US cannot ever support, despite some rather crazed comments on other threads.

It really is a b@stard of a world.

Here is a video showing Israel using White Phosphorous on the Palistinians. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iA9RkRS6zk Why is not Israel being investigated for using chemical weapons?

Arjay, Israel is one of the so-called 'Good Guys'. Good guys can use Agent Orange, depleted uranium, napalm, cluster bombs, landmines, Daisy cutters, white phosphorous munitions, etc, to their heart's content and no criticism is ever offered!

Good Guys can fill the world with hate for certain groups, certain races, certain religions. The hate created via never-ending propaganda allows war to be endless. It also enables some nations (well, one in particular) to create huge militaries which they can spread right across the world and bully all who oppose them.

They claim that they are keeping the world safe from those designated as enemies as they go about their imperialism which has one objective: to control the world.

Some people fall for the propaganda. They fail to see the danger right before their eyes. They worship military power, are excited by it, not realizing or caring that it cancels out peace!

Intelligent people realize that war in a nuclear-armed world that fights to control scarce resources can only have one outcome: human extinction!

If that is the way the world ends, then so be it! At least I did my bit to point out where we're headed.

Orwell had it right. The U.S. is Big Brother!

America forgot to plant the WMD's in Iraq before looking for them.

They will do what they want does not matter what any country says.

Nearly EVERY war America was involved in was by lies and manufactured evidence.

It is a wonderful outcome for the liberal democracies to see two brands of Islamic fanaticism killing each other off. The best course of action is to keep the pot boiling and to give each side just enough diplomatic and military support to prevent one side or the other from losing. The more these characters fight each other, the less inclined they are to fight us or our friend, Israel.

The decision by the Sunni "Free Syrian Army" to not hand over it's own captured supplies of chemical weapons would have to be the dumbest military decision since Saddam Hussein thought that he could win a war against the USA. With a bit of luck, the dummies might be stupid enough to use the stuff themselves on the Alawite Assad regime and thereby destroy any moral support they might have had from any misguided western public opinion.

Either way, let's just buy a packet of chips and enjoy the spectacle of our enemies fighting each other.

Dear LEGO,

After losing 25,000 soldiers in 14 hours in the battle of Eylau, Napoleon replied: “One night in Paris will replenish the ranks”.

To all my fellow posters, critics and personal denigrators

I am happy to discuss the subject matter of my article - the demise of the Syrian Free Army if it refuses to hand over chemical weapons in its possession or allow free and unfettered access to UN inspectors to verify none do exist.

Seems my analysis is pretty close to the mark - if the following report in yesterday's Australian is accurate:

“Russian officials have barely been able to contain their glee at the Kremlin’s success in preventing US intervention, at least for now. While CIA arms have begun to reach the rebels, Obama has made it clear he will not take decisive action to ensure the overthrow of Assad.

“What everyone’s missing here is that the US has effectively chosen to back Assad,” a Pentagon official said.

“There won’t be airstrikes in the foreseeable future and the administration has made clear that any help for the moderate opposition will be, to use Secretary Kerry’s words, unbelievably small.

“The facts on the ground are that Assad – who is still being armed by Russia – is winning.”

Perhaps many of you need to concentrate on this message - rather than engaging in personal abuse directed to me.

This is the reality that everyone will have to deal with - like it or not.

How many more Syrians are set to die, become refugees and be displaced, injured and further traumatised before Assad is declared the winner?

There are already over 100000 deaths, 2 million refugees and 5 million Syrians displaced in their own country. It surely is time to call it a day.

Seems as though America has now made that decision - if this Pentagon official is to be believed.

you..are correct..david
thing is..i hate..all this murder
i dont know who to trust..its clear israel..supports egypt
army/[police state's..and maybe assads..and all its neighbors]..

i know..the plo..was actually
formed by mossad..it wont be..a UNIQUE CASE

thing is david..who is the peace=maker?
who will..hurt others..*less

how can we..stop the lies
and..tell who-ever..war is over

i feel it needs..an iraelie peacemaker
lets face it..mossad has all the dirt..on everyone
knows who did what..knows..where the money went..controls media/govt finance/insurance education policing etc etc

we are looking to...you

Despite..the utter failure..of the "Assad gassed women and children" hoax,*
government and media/propagandists..still desperately cling to the belief..that they can still fool..all of the people.all of the time.

Looking at today's headlines..it is clear the government/stooges.and media hookers..are confident..that if they simply..tell a big enough lie,..the public will buy it.
http://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/So%20You%20Think%20Military%20Intervention%20is%20a%20Good%20Idea.pdf

Maybe that was true..back when Hitler
warned about those..who use big lies,.but it is no longer true in the age of the internet...Yet that confidence..*by government/lobbyists/blackmailers/financiers and media..will lure them..into continuing with new lies, more wars..and worse lies,..evermore/new false-flags to get the war plunders..they lust for.
http://whatreallyhappened.com/IMAGES/SMALL_shitlist.jpg

We The People...must shatter that confidence,
in order..to forestall more lies..and false-flags.

We..The People must make..the plotters
of wars experience..a moment of doubt..before each new lie and false-flag,..as a deterrent to perpetual/lies/false-flags.
http://investmentwatchblog.com/syria-shocking-video-share-this-with-everone/
If..someone planning..a new false-flag..has to ask themselves if the official story..will be believed,..[secrets kept..without assassination]..then perhaps..they will call off the plan.

Doubt..in the minds of..the propagandists
can be..our most potent weapon..against more..lies and..perpetual wars...And we can create..that doubt by relentlessly..reminding them that We The People know*..they have lied us..into wars,..KNOW*..have been lying..all along,..and that We The People..do not trust them any longer.

So here..is a weapon..[words]..against the warhawks.
Think of it..as We The People's psy-op..against the..servile/government and..war-mongering-corporat/ media.
http://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/soyouwantawar.php

The moment..anyone..in government
and..media voices support..for more wars,
they should be hit..with a flood of emails..with the link..to this article..until they get the message

that the days..when the government
-security/agencies..and media..could tell us..any fantasy at-all..and get away with it..are gone forever.

Fear not David Singer

I'm not one of OLO's trolling denigrators.

The problem with Syria is calculating which sides are worse:

- the rebel factions (ranging from Western mercenaries to anti-West, anti-secular jihadis) or

- Hezbollah or the

- Syrian government (probably also fragmented)

Worse in terms of impact on Syrian civilians (as you point out).

Worse if the civil war ends this year, next year or next decade.

Worse for the West or Israel or West including Israel.

I haven't made up my mind. Further evidence (aside from Russian sources) that the rebels have CWs and have used CWs might help in weighing up what is what.

Cheers

Pete

"Either way, let's just buy a packet of chips and enjoy the spectacle of our enemies fighting each other," pontificates LEGO who is clearly an intellectual giant who hides his light under a bushel, well, several bushels, perhaps more.

Yeah, that's the way! Create the enemies first using Fear and Hate, then get them to fight against each other until no one is left standing.

The U.S. stands on both sides of the street in this scenario. When it gets designated enemies fighting to the death, it steps in and invades and conquerors other countries who are not really sure who their enemies are but feel they surely have to kill someone. What else is the destiny of humans?

Yeah, Fear, Hate and War, that's the way to go if you want to control the world. Get everyone fighting everyone then, when they are exhausted and can war no more, you step in and takeover, try to make it sound like you're the Second Coming!

The U.S. is gaming everyone even learned journalists who don't seem to know whether they are Martha or Mandrake.

Forget Syria! The Dinosaurs are fighting to the death and the stupid cheer them on.

The cockroaches sit on the sidelines and smile knowingly.

Their day will come soon, them and the rats!

Dear David Singer.

Three generations have passed since the Germans carried out the first gas attack at Ypres which killed 5000 French soldiers. In WW2, Great Britain threatened the Germans with massive retaliation by the RAF with poison gas if the Germans used Poison gas on Allied soldiers . The threat was real, the British had better long range bombers than the Germans, and they could carry out their threat. That the Germans never used poison gas was probably due to the British threat. The fact that the British did not carry out that threat does not mean that they were "weak", it was because the threat was real and it probably did succeed in preventing the use of poison gas.

In the Gulf War, both Secretary Cheney and General Schwartzkopf threatened Saddam Hussein with nuclear weapons if the dared to use chemical weapons on Allied troops in the Gulf War. The fact that Saddam did not use chemical weapons was probably because of that threat, even though the yanks had no intention of delivering on that threat. "Arabs only understand brute force", is what Schwartzkopf told Cheney.

Now the Americans are threatening a massive airstrike on the Syrian regime if it uses chemical weapons. Like previous allied threats towards countries which used chemical weapons, it is probably a bluff. But threatening a rogue regime with massive retaliation is a responsible thing to do. I would not put any credence in any Russian claim to take any credit in this matter.

My take is, that the western world prefers Assad to his enemies. But I don't have any sympathy for the Arab Muslim populations who seem to be always hostile to my civilisation and to my people. This time they can kill each other off and they can't blame us.

LEGO - the only thing wrong with you scenario is that the rebels or CIA use the chemical weapons then do what they did already and blame it on the Syrian government.

But that would not happen the CIA or America would never lie to the world!
