Through the rose-coloured looking glass : Comments

But to include Gillard in the same company as these former PMs, who were loved by 'protective, adoring mothers', is unjustified.

individual,

Clearly Mr Abbott and the Coalition prefer not to discuss
policies or debate but to continue to take pot shots
at the PM. That's all they've got - and they're now
in a panic.

And yes there are plenty of links on the web to that
effect. Here's just one:

Enjoy.

Lexi,
I can't see where it says how much funding there's for the next Government. Anyhow, it is absolutely astounding how much effort & funding goes into denouncing Abbott when there's so much need out there for Australians who btw get less than the asylum seekers.
Are the ALP supporters so extreme that they even forfeit a possible better life for many Australians just so as not to let Abbott in ? there's something sick in that !
I only hope Australians vote with their conscience rather than for a short-term Superannuation boost for those who let them down so badly.

individual,

Suddenly Mr Abbott faces an opponent far more
popular than himself. The opposition leader's assured
run to election victory has been radically challenged.
Mr Rudd is turning the fear campaign against Mr Abbott.
And he has the people's attention.
Mr Rudd is portraying himself as the face of re-assurance
and Mr Abbott as a risk.
Judging by recent polls - Mr Rudd appears to be succeeding.
It should be an interesting election in September.

Cheers.

Lexi, "Mr Rudd is portraying himself as the face of re-assurance"

The media are desperate for cheap sensationalism and Kevin13 has obliged.

He is still "Rudd the Dud" who was found by his own party to be unelectable in 2008-10.

Even the windmill armed, motormouth Kevin13 cannot keep the media supplied with headlines. While the Left stalwarts who are on guvvy benefits savour and applaud the media's acceptance of Rudd's media releases and media circus, the same Left will be gnashing their teeth as the media runs out of Kevin13 events and goes searching for stories.

Today, Gillard's side kicks the treacherous Greens are having a chop at Kevin13 as a fake on climate,

http://www.news.com.au/breaking-news/national/rudd-is-a-fake-on-climate-say-greens/story-e6frfku9-1226679116391

and Kevin13's sister is in the news questionning his recent conversion to gay marriage. She has quit the Labor Party and there is a strong lielihood others will too,

<Kevin Rudd's sister has quit the Australian Labor Party, saying she cannot back a party that supports "homosexuals marrying".

Loree Rudd, 61, said she sent the letter to her Nambour branch last week after a policy shift at the ALP National Conference on December 3.

Delegates voted to change the party policy from opposing to supporting gay marriage, with Labor MPs and senators granted a conscience vote when a bill is considered in parliament.

"I knew I didn't want to stay in a party if that was their stand," she said.

"It's not something I believe in and it's also the way it happened that I dislike.

"I no longer liked the direction the Labor Party was going at state or federal level and I couldn't work for a party that had endorsed homosexuals marrying."
..
Ms Rudd said when she entered a polling booth at the next federal election, she would not vote for Labor unless the party had changed its policy on gay marriage.

She would look at other candidates, including those from Katter's Australian Party, and would make her decision based on the integrity of the candidate.>

onthebeach,

Same-sex marriage like abortion
is a highly emotive issue for many people.
However according to the polls most Australians
(64 percent) are in favour of same-sex marriage.
A Referendum or a conscience vote would be the
fair way to go.

As for Mr Rudd? He appears to be succeeding in the
polls and the Liberal Party is becoming increasingly
nervous as Mr Abbott's popularity slides.
I can't help but wonder how long will it be before
he's replaced as leader?

Dear individual,

I'm not stalling and you've got two choices.
Do your own research - and Google the subject
yourself or accept the best answer you're
forcing me to give you
as a famous economist, highly respected
globally, and having contacts in the Treasury,
my answer would be - $1.5 trillion.

Frankly - if I were you I'd Google the subject.
