By Jo Coghlan, published 13/6/2011

The US immigration story is different from Australia's but some political challenges are the same.

I love how Obama calls his policy of more-more-more "reform".

A real "reform" of immigration would be less-less-less.

Less in quantity.
Less in duration (occasional breaks to allow equilibrium to develop)
And less in range (i.e. ethnic continuum)

Multicultural societies only work when there are fundamental commonalities amongst the cultures (e.g. Canada's French and British, Switzerland's German, Italian and French ancestries; all Caucasoid, Indo-European and Christian histories).

Where a fundamental divergence occurs in a sizable population (e.g. Muslims in Yugoslavia) failure is almost inevitable.

Problem is, no politician will touch an ethnically sensible policy these days. That makes you a "Nazi" apparently.

Difference is "Nazi" policy was aggressive.
"White Australia" was defensive.
They are not comparable.
But try telling that to the anti-racist crowd.

Bazz, I must say I know that your saying. I love Sydney to death. George st I walked many times 2/3 o'clock in the mornings without a scrape of trouble anywhere, and its still the same. Pat Condell speaks for me most of the time, and if any over-sea visitors came to trash our Country I think I know how he feels.

Here's Pat and read some of the comments under the link, I might even put one there myself:)

@Quantamleap.
Be wary of single issue activists like Pat Condell, Islam isn't really part of the problem and the "conservatives" promoting "assimilation" are in general as fanatically Anti White as the Genocidal Marxists.
Communists on the Left and Communists on the right, the choices on offer are one race under God, or one race under Marx.
These people never speak the truth and they always use this kind of code or shorthand, take "Diversity" as an example, we're no more a "diverse" society than we ever were, in fact in terms of real, meaningful concepts like, political thought, musical, literary and artistic output we've gone from "punching above our weight' to a laughingstock among our peers.

What's Left out of the Immigration debate is the way it's actually led, believe it or not, to a lack of diversity in our communities.
The Anti Whites will laud the fact that a town or suburb has lost it's Anglo dominated shopping precinct but, as is the case in many suburbs the fact that retail is now dominated by Vietnamese or Indians doesn't seem to concern them.
Examples.
High St Preston, Victoria St Richmond and Barkly St Footscray, old White ,working class areas are not diverse shopping precincts, they're Vietnamese with a sprinkling of other businesses.
When the face behind every convenience store and petrol station counter in a given suburb is Indian, when every strip mall or shopping court has the same range of shops (Noodles, Kebabs, Charcoal Chicken, $2 shops and chain stores).... I'm afraid that's not diversity, it's standardisation.
I really don't have the time to sit here providing examples of why the Emperor has no clothes but the whole "diversity" thing is a sham, Leftists and respectable Conservatives agree on one thing, that everyone should be "assimilated", everything standardised into the commercialised, Westfield styled experience of "diversity".

Jo do me a favor and correct all the typos, spelling mistakes etc in your article. One expects better from a so-called academic.

And just some more thoughts from other counties. Jay. Once Multiculturalism has been released, who ever is the strongest business builder, will have the monopoly. China Town is a very strong business center, along with many others and this makes the Australian Government very happy indeed. The boat people and the Immigration polices in place, not only are there over-population concerns with unemployment and mental illness to contend with, its the lack of qualified personal which how will they contribute?

IMO

Thank goodness the humans can get along here, however religion does push its luck, and that alone tell us people from all four corners of the globe are just too immature to deal with their silly prejudgments and all races are guilty. Why you might say, cause we are all human.

Jane Goodall said it perfectly when describing the behaviorism's of chimpanzees.......and we are no different.

We are still a species......and behaviors are textbook.
