Particularly by being arrogant in assuming they could deal with Afghanistan as superficially as they initially did, before moving on to deal with Iraq as superficially as they also initially did.

Set their own 'agenda' back 10 years or more, and that is the legacy we are and continue to deal with.

Sometime you have to expose your enemy, and bring them out of hiding. The death of Bin Laden has brought the enemy out of hiding to spout their threats. While they are hidden in caves away from public eyes they canot be traced. This act has identified the enemy of civilized society.
