That was one of "three viewpoints", Arjay.
>>Ahamdinejad "Some elements of the US Govt orchestrated 911." Seems pretty clear to me what he meant.<< He specifically did not put forward the claim himself. You still haven't read the transcript, have you? Posted by Pericles, Thursday, 30 September 2010 11:44:46 PM

Pericles see http://patriotsquestion911.com/ and see over 220 military,Govt law enforcement people who question the offical 911 conspiracy theory.

Doesn't convince anyone, Mr "Colour-me-Gullible" Arjay.
Most of your list has a political axe to grind, and a strong motive to discredit the US. On anything. I'd put Hamid Gul,Hugo Chavez,Mahathir Mohammed, George Galloway, Vladmir Putin, Hosni Mubarak and Pervez Musharraf on this list,in a heartbeat. Thomas Kean was a paid advisor on (and supporter of) the ABC documentary "The Path to 9/11". No mention of nano-thermite in that one, I notice. David Marcus - couldn't find any evidence that he's a "truther" Ernst Welteke told the world that "financial investigators had found strong indications of suspicious dealings in gold and oil, as well as unusual movements in airline and insurance shares, in the days before the September 11 attacks". He didn't point the finger at anyone or any group in particular. Osama bin Laden, for example. Francesco Cossiga made some statements which he later pointed out had been substantially mistranslated. http://archivio.lastampa.it/LaStampaArchivio/main/History/tmpl_viewObj.jsp?objid=7190957 If you get some one to translate this for you, you will find that he specifically does not believe in any 9/11 conspiracy theories. Yukihisa Fujta also retracted some of his more controversial remarks earlier this year issuing a statement in which he said that he "never drew the conclusion that 9/11 was a conspiracy" and did not call the events "a hoax". Nothing to see here, move along. Posted by Pericles, Saturday, 2 October 2010 3:08:34 PM

>>Pres Ahmadinejad of Iran recently addressed the UN and said the US Govt was involved in 911.<<

He merely used the confusion created by the "truthers" to take a shot at the US.
"there were three viewpoints... that some segments within the U.S. government orchestrated the attack to reverse the declining American economy and its grips on the Middle East in order also to save the Zionist regime. The majority of the American people as well as other nations and politicians agree with this view"
His claim that "the majority" support this view is clearly a lie, but it means that he doesn't actually have to make the claim himself.
He does exactly the same with another "theory".
"It was carried out by a terrorist group but the American government supported and took advantage of the situation. Apparently, this viewpoint has fewer proponents."
Again, he avoids any personal support of these fruit-loop ideas, because to do so would eradicate any credibility or legitimacy that he otherwise might have had.
Instead, he cleverly uses the gullibility of the tiny minority of saddo loser conspiracy-nuts in the US (and elsewhere, obviously) to do his work for him.
These are what are known as "useful idiots", Arjay.
I hope you and your oddball bedfellows get a real kick out of being part of President Ahmadinejad's propaganda machine.
