I never thought that I would see the day that I would have any basis for agreement with a churchman - however this article seems to be that day, if only because 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' as the saying goes. It is bad enough that the irrational, mind boggling garbage espoused by the religious right now finds full and government supported expression in our education system, but now, it seems, finds ready ears at the very top of the government power system - a power structure that is utterly devoid of principle, and will do or say anything to maintain that power.
