Hey Paul,
Remember Scott Morrison's "It's not my job!" mantra? Well it turns out that he thought it was all his job: http://lismorecitynews.com.au/story/7861272/turns-out-he-thought-it-was-all-his-job/ Posted by Foxy, Saturday, 27 August 2022 1:44:57 PM

Hi Foxy,
One can see from the Forums 'Usual Suspects', they easily identify themselves, how a totalitarian despot could take power. With their "its all legal, its not my problem" attitude a Trump or a Morrison could easily usurp the democratic process and declarer himself the new "Il Duce" for life. Yes, 'Its Not My Job' Morrison seems to have made everything his job. Well what can we say. Posted by Paul1405, Saturday, 27 August 2022 2:08:44 PM

"This is not a question of wanting to punish a defeated foe."
Oh? OK. Its just that earlier today someone was calling for sanctions against Morrison. Now who was that? Posted by mhaze, Saturday, 27 August 2022 2:18:17 PM

The Solicitor General has called on the government to
fix the "deficient" rules around the disclosure of appointments that allowed Mr Morrison to keep his extra ministeries secret. To ensure that this does not happen again. Posted by Foxy, Saturday, 27 August 2022 3:04:32 PM

As for Trump,
These are the 3 statutes for which former President Donald Trump is being investigated. 'Gathering or removing', 'keeping and concealing', 'altering or destroying'; These are criminal statutes for which the penalties upon conviction are severe, like 10 years in jail for each. They all emanate from the Espionage Act of 1917. If Donald Trump wanted to read these documents after he left office he would have had to get permission to go to a federally approved venue, where wifi doesn't work and surveilance is impossible; - But possessing them in the non-federally-approved venue, this is what the crime is that they're looking for. That statement is an attempt in trying to excuse bad
and unacceptable behaviour. What this is about is
an inquiry to consider the implications of Mr Morrison's
actions - which will result in the closure of the
disclosure loophole that will not allow this to ever happen
again.
The facts are that the Parliament, the public and the other
ministers, who administered the departments with Mr Morrison
were not informed of his appointments and that these
appointments were inconsistent with the conventions and
practices that form an essential part of the system of
responsible government prescribed by the constitution.
The Solicitor General said it was "impossible for the
Parliament and the public to hold ministers accountable for the
proper administration of particular departments if the identity
of the ministers who have been appointed to administer these
departments are not publicised."
The Solicitor-General said this conclusion "does not depend"
on whether and how many times Mr Morrison exercised his powers."
