The ANU and Melbourne are by both considered to be among the best in the world? Considered by whom? The ABC is supposed to be the most 'trusted' broadcaster; again, by whom? The minority of people who are in thrall to it? It seems to me that the claim cannot be made when the majority of Australians don't adhere to the ABC at all; the trust in the ABC is all ABC propaganda.

Similarly with universities. Numbers of Australians attending universities are about the same as those hanging onto the ABC. And 21st. Century universities have taken a big dive from the centres of learning, wisdom and truth-seeking that they once were. They are more like factories for brainwashing and turning out ignorant idiots.

If the ANU and Melbourne are 'among the best in the world', that's not saying much: very faint praise indeed.
