Paul,
I think that Borsak took part (at some expense) in a Government sanctioned cull of bull elephants. This is a CONSERVATION measure whereby the Government gets some much needed funds, which helps in the war against ivory poachers, gets rid of an unneeded.old elephant and the local people get some much needed, and appreciated, meat. That Robert Borsak sat with them and ate elephant meat was a symbolic gesture appreciated by the locals. Just thought that I’d spell it out for the general reader as you are fully aware of the facts. "On 9 May 1973, Australia and New Zealand each instituted proceedings against France concerning tests of nuclear weapons which France proposed to carry out in the atmosphere in the South Pacific region."
Weren't we a bunch of dropkicks then hey. Posted by SteeleRedux, Tuesday, 31 May 2022 3:40:14 PM

Something not so hard to believe;
https://tinyurl.com/2tsdfwvs I thought it was not true when I heard how farmers here would have to cull their herds by 50% but it has become law in Ireland to comply withe zero net co2 ! That will pset the Nationals when Albo brings that in. Posted by Bazz, Tuesday, 31 May 2022 4:56:30 PM

Does any of the smarter climate minds here know what a 'magnetic pole reversal' is or means?

Armchair,
Sorry, I thought I posted the answer last night, but it appears I didn't. A magnetic pole reversal is where the direction of Earth's magnetic field reverses. It's happened quite a lot in the pre human era, and we seem to be overdue for another one, but nobody knows when it will next happen and the process is not well understood. _____________________________________________________________________________ Bazz, A study's only as good as the assumptions it's based on. It's unlikely there would actually be any reduction in livestock numbers in Northern Ireland, let alone here. _____________________________________________________________________________ Paul, >The retail price increase was withheld by the Morrison government for political reasons How exactly? I seriously doubt they have the capability to do so. Posted by Aidan, Thursday, 9 June 2022 9:16:30 PM

"Shooters, Fishers and Farmers party MP Robert Borsak (Elephant Bob), who previously revealed shooting an elephant while on a hunting trip in Africa, says he ate the animal ‘but not in one sitting’" - The Guardian
I don't believe that, I think he did little more than poke out its eyes, and kick the dead animal in the arse. What do you think Issy?
