There was an announcement that the wholesale price of electricity had increased. The retail price increase was withheld by the Morrison government for political reasons, that is it would reduce their election chances should it be announced a week out from the poll.

I think that Borsak took part (at some expense) in a Government sanctioned cull of bull elephants.
This is a CONSERVATION measure whereby the Government gets some much needed funds, which helps in the war against ivory poachers, gets rid of an unneeded.old elephant and the local people get some much needed, and appreciated, meat.
That Robert Borsak sat with them and ate elephant meat was a symbolic gesture appreciated by the locals.

A magnetic pole reversal is where the direction of Earth's magnetic field reverses.
It's happened quite a lot in the pre human era, and we seem to be overdue for another one, but nobody knows when it will next happen and the process is not well understood.

Answer-

As you may know a coil of wire is an electromagnet- also rotating (iron?) plasma or similar acts like an electromagnet- and the direction of the rotation determines the north and south magnetic poles- turbulence in the plasma could lead to movement in the magnetic poles- but the rotation of the plasma appears to be influenced by the direction of rotation of the Earth. Based on my understanding of the system I would expect that the magnetic pole if it did flip would quickly flip back- as I would expect that the configuration where the plasma follows the Earth's rotation is the most natural one- due to conservation of angular momentum. There seem to be a few forces at play here- forces due to rotation of the Earth about it's axis, forces due to convection due to radioactive heating, gravity, cool low pressure spots between continental plates, etc.

Look for multiple credible sources- it's getting harder as many credible sources seem to have been compromised lately- think of the corona situation.

In science often you can just say whether it's likely- there's some uncertainty. Therefore the videos could be correct but unlikely. There are always some fake stories going around- this isn't new- remember the "crop circles". Sometimes it's interesting to see who gets drawn in- and why they get drawn in.
