"On December 30, protesters set fire to Old Parliament House. They shouted about Indigenous rights and colonisation, clashed with police and flew the Aboriginal flag. They were heard yelling “let it burn” as the fire took hold."

"Greens senator and Indigenous activist Lidia Thorpe struck a different tone, tweeting: “Seems like the colonial system is burning down. Happy New Year everyone.”

Why is everyone ignoring this? If these protesters had been conservatives there would be a procession of arrests, a royal commission etc.

The evidence of terrorism is on video. It has been presented on national TV. These people need to be removed from society, and the whole "First Nations" nonsense and people with connections - many very dubious - to aboriginality treated like everybody else.

shadow minister,

Who exactly do you think is ignoring this?

Arrests have been made and this group is an
extremist group that has been condemned.
There's been coverage in the media - and on this
forum. Why are you wanting to flog it? Looks
like an attempt at diversion from the current
problems within politics.

individual,

Check on the web.

There's plenty of links and coverage by the ABC.
Also on YouTube. Spoilt for choice.

Foxy,

This is the ABC "Canberra's Old Parliament House forced to close after protesters accidentally set fire to front door" when there was nothing accidental about it.

So now we have aboriginal extremists? There were 30 protesters none of whom lifted a finger to put out the fires or prevent the arson attacks and:

"A 30-year-old Victorian man (aboriginal) was arrested on Sunday as part of a joint investigation by the Australian Federal Police and ACT Policing. He has been charged with arson and damaging Commonwealth property. Three other arrests were made on Saturday — two of those individuals were charged with assaulting a frontline service provider and the third was charged with hindering a territory official."

It looks as though most of these aboriginal protesters were "extremists"
