That's racism towards white people.
Firing them BECAUSE THEY'RE WHITE.

- BUT ITS OK TO BE RACIST TOWARDS WHITE PEOPLE, APPARENTLY
- If you're doing it in the claimed interests of diversity

It's not the same as telling a black person they can't have the job because they're black;

ITS WORSE.

It's like saying you've been loyal to us for 20 years, but your fired
- Because you're NOT black or some other ethnicity, instead of white.

That's pretty much the ULTIMATE kick up the rear.
We're not going to thank you for your service.
We'll give you the ultimate insult instead.
Don't bother coming back.

Not hiring someone because you're racist is one thing.
Firing someone because you become woke and become openly racist against white people
- With an end justifies the means attitude
- Doesn't make you a better person.
- It makes you total scum.

- Like the scum on the back of the toilet that you just can't clean, scum.

IT MAKES THEM THEMSELVES
EVERYTHING THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT IN OTHERS

But you expect this crap from people that originate in universities
- Let them screw their own over for wokeness sake
- Might as well start screwing each other
- Tired of them directing their crap at everyone else

Hey Hasbeen,
"This is typical of the woke garbage infesting much of the arts."

Most of the politicians running this country have arts degrees.
What a bunch of losers, no wonder they all come across as weirdos.

This should not get too many hackles up.

"History will be made at Carnegie Hall next year, as an all-Black classical symphony orchestra is slated to make its debut."

"In 2022, an all-Black classical symphony orchestra will perform at New York’s Carnegie Hall for the first time in the concert venue’s 130-year history."

"The finale of the concert, taking place on 24 April 2022, is an orchestral rendering of James V. Cockerham’s Fantasia on ‘Life Every Voice...’, a song with a deep history of Black pride."

Lee Koonce, president and artistic director of Gateways orchestra, said; “To be the first all-Black classical symphony orchestra to headline a performance there (Carnegie Hall) is momentous, especially at this time of racial reckoning in our country’s history".

“Hearing and seeing the Gateways orchestra on Carnegie’s revered main stage will show Black children that they can perform classical music at the highest level."

I find it disturbing reading the venom that's coming
from some of the posts here. Is it really a black
versus white thing? Or was the entire matter simply
handled badly by a director who wanted to please the
Arts Council and not lose his funding. That he misjudged
what he thought was being asked - and now the Arts Council
is distancing itself from the scandal.

We don't live in that country and we're not that familiar
with the real circumstances there. Particularly when it comes
to colour. I would have thought that by now (in this day and
age) a person's colour, especially in the wide mix that makes
modern England today - the country would have moved way past
this issue and set an example for the rest of the world.

Obviously in this country judging from the posts here - white
versus black is still very much an issue.

I can't help wondering - how diverse is
Opera Australia?

Are we doing everything we can to address the
issues in this country?

The following link is an interesting read:
