This entire thread seems to be based on the assumption that people are unable to tell the difference between forestry and deforestation.

No, Aidan, it’s based on the record of people with an agenda to push and who get a little power.
That’s one of the reasons that the less well off can no longer get a bit of firewood along our country roads, it must be left to help fuel the next bushfire.

The answer is to plant genetically modified trees, then the greenies can't get you to cut them down fast enough.

The Essential Report shows that support for Morrison in Queensland this month has dropped to 46% from 60% in October. This could a rebuff from a coal state to a PM who has gone green, with his Cop26, Zero 2050 nonsense, electric car burbling, and general slavery to globalisation.

Queensland won the election for the Coalition. Next time, it might take it away from them.

At least Cop26 is shewing the world that air travel in electric planes is possible, we know this because none of the delegates would help to foul the Earth by using fossil fuel burning jet planes.
Greta Thunberg traveled there by land yacht although she is said to have caused some delays on the highways.
The only downside is that Scott Morrison’s plane had to recharge its batteries in flight from a RAAF KC-30A tanker which had sufficient generating capacity for the job, this is thought to be one of the first successful air to air recharges ever done.
Little is being said about this use of a pure jet in this role.
It was thought that the PM’s plane would have sufficient back up charging capability from its solar panels but unfortunately just after crossing the NT border there were heavy cloud layers extending many thousands of feet above the plane and enough sun energy did not get through, these conditions persisted until well over the Flores Sea.
Fortunate that someone thought to have the KC-30A keeping watch.
