Today Kevin Rudd said that John Howard as treasurer back in 1982 presided over interest rates of 22%.The 22% was the cash rate that businesses paid.There was no mention of the fact that housing rates then were capped at 13.5%.In the total life of this present Federal Govt we have not seen rates come anywhere near the excesses of any Labor Govt in the last forty yrs.

While I vehemently disagree with tarrif policy and the worship of a Globalised world,I don't think that Labor has the discipline or talent to form a credible Govt.For me,it is a matter of tweedle dee or tweedle dumber.
