Our constitution is one of the few constitutions
in the world today with negative race powers
allowing governments to make laws and policy
that pointedly trample the rights of Indigenous
people.
The Australian Constitution currently contains no
protections against racial discrimination and
the parliament is capable of suspending existing
statutory protections.
