In the end no God ever existed
In fact we suffer from the worst in all faiths while they pursue phantoms
Our author wants things from our community that would have us butchered in the lands his parents came from if we did that
Rest my case integration, mutual respect but not separatism

Hi Runner,

I must admit I'm quite conflicted, since I support Folau's right to express his opinions, and the rights of church schools to be able to set the criteria for selecting their own staff. But the inconvenient parallels with Muslim schools throw up all sorts of contradictions for me. I'm still working them through.

Cheers,

Joe

IF God made us all, why did he make other Gods
Did God put different values on people
Do we exist so we can hate followers of other Gods

To Iftikhar.

If you want outside support for Muslim schools, the first issue needed to address is that the schools would be safe for the community. Islamic communities are ripe for turning their own people into extremist. Worse they do this with no sign that the Muslim community wants to correct the harms done. A school dedicated for only Muslims sounds like a short step away from a community of extremists teaching their kids to be extremists.

That said, I get your wanting a private school setting. I've heard of similar wants among Christians in the US. Wanting to protect their kids from more and more left leaning indoctrination that includes either to despise Christianity, and/or an encouragement to over sexualization and gender confusion for young kids. I've heard these arguments among some Christians, and see them choose a Christian private school that is paid for by the parents, not through taxes.

For those that don't go to a private Christian school, there's no fear that those schools will turn out criminals and terrorists. There is that fear though for Muslim schools. Either to turn out extremists, or to turn out youth that do not value women, and hate the outside communities and the country they live in. Increasing rape and crime as a whole, or worse organized extremist groups that mass murder the population they are in.

Ensure that Muslims schools are safe for those in them, and safe for the outside community, then you'll likely get more support to start those schools and have parents pay without tax assistance to be taught there.

I am aware my view is not shared by everyone, too that in some countries my view would, quite honestly, see me butchered
But here is the very basis of western thought, I have the right to my view
Our author may not return, we see him often but this time my words may distress him
I reject the pure bigotry, from both sides, as in the end inhuman
But can not avoid this truth, we who do not believe are not looking for believers to do anything, other than stop pressing us to fall in behind your views
And to stop seeing governments schools anything being molded by faith in a God that never existed
