Just as said by another I want Abbott to stay around
For the same reasons
Those who supported Abbott in his destabilisation, surely must know Turnbull has the right to be just as damaging
It highlights a truth, increasing war with the factions in this government have lost sight of what voters want
Before this story, about the time Abbotts pre selection saw so many Liberals reject him as candidate, my view he may not win his seat, came about

The facts behind the usual race-baiting migration spin -

So Australia will "refuse to sign" a UN migration compact it helped draft, on principles on safe, orderly and regular migration?

First of all there is no "proper" process for claiming asylum.

Second, it isn't really a Treaty and doesn't require a signature from any country - just an agreement in principle.

Finally it will still be likely adopted at a meeting in Marrakesh which Australia probably won't attend anyway.

It's just another dog-whistle attempt at maintaining racial tension, particularly in time for the Victorian State Election.

Dear Belly,

This is not a good move on behalf of the former PM.
He's left parliament and he should stay out of
meddling in politics. He's criticised others for
interfering - he should set an example and allow
Mr Abbott's electorate to decide the man's political
future. This all smacks a bit like "payback" and makes
Mr Turnbull no better than his arch enemy.

Very disappointing to read this action from a man who had
my sympathy and who I thought was above this kind of
behaviour.

The Liberal Party has another internal row over its leadership after members of the Roseville Branch voted to expel Malcolm Turnbull from their party. Warringah branch nearly expelled Tony Abbott but reversed and Roseville may expel Warringah . Dutton is expected to back Abbott and stab Warringah , undercut Hanson and repel the UN migrants while backing the Melbourne shopping-trolley man against Shorten.

Hi Belly,

300 to 500 is a significant number of party members, even in a blue ribbon seat like Warringah. Normally there are about 20 per branch hard core who take an active interest with things, attend meetings etc. In Wentworth with a lot of interest I think about 1500 Liberal Party members took part in the preselection. How Money Bags bags got in on the act in Warringah is strange.
