More Catholics and more devout ones at that, most Indian migrants to Ireland are Catholic and as Irish Gaelic is an Indo-European language it's not hard for Indians to pick it up, and that will put them onside with Irish speakers especially; Indians are usually multilingual anyway.
My wife speaks and reads/writes three or four Indian languages (as well as being able to make herself understood in another couple) plus being fluent in French and Arabic (but cannot read or write it).
