The incidence of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV in Australia is increasing (Australian Bureau of Statistics, 2007). This increase is occurring despite education in high schools and public knowledge that most STIs and HIV can be prevented by the consistent use of condoms during sexual intercourse. Consequently, researchers in the area of sexual health have recognised the need to find effective methods of promoting condom use other than information dissemination.

Hello everyone.

My name is Vikki Mirosevich and I am a psychology student at Curtin University (WA). I am asking for assistance as I need participants for my honours project.

Being a participant involves doing an anonymous questionnaire that will take about 15 minutes of your time. Once you complete the survey, you can enter the draw to win a US$50 Amazon gift voucher.

Participants must be at least 18 years old and live in Australia.

For more information and to participate in the study, visit

If you know anyone else who would be interested in participating, I would really appreciate it if you could let them know about the study. I will most likely be collecting responses until the end of August 2007.

Your participation is greatly appreciated! If you have any questions about the study post them here or email me at vikki@condomstudy.net

Thanks again.
Vikki.
