Why lately has no rich man followed Lord Lucan's example and gone on the lam?

Surely Black must have a few million tucked away in secret bank accounts in Switzerland and the Cayman's

I would have thought that every wealthy man would have an escape route complete with secret bank accounts and new identities all planned just in case.

because seriouly rich 'lords of the realm' can not conceive of the possibility of being found guilty. conrad was safe enough in blighty, but too blind to realize that foreign richos were at risk in usa. not even native sons are completely safe there.

Whatever you may think of Conrad Black, building a business like Hollinger takes both intelligence and SHREWDNESS. If nothing else I would have expected him to be SHREWD enough to see he was in trouble.
