Not likely, given that there are lot more urban electorates then country electorates, and they don't vote National. There are lot of urban electorates where the Nationals don't even bother to put up a candidate, which significantly reduces their chances of electoral success.

Susan Crockford has been associated with think-tank the Heartland Institute, which strongly denies climate change, and spoke at one of its conferences as recently as last spring.

She has published notes and “briefings” through a conservative think tank, the Global Warming Policy Foundation (GWPF), and is described by them as “an expert on polar bear evolution.”

Considering she she has published almost no peer-reviewed research on polar bears and hasn't done any field studies I wonder where she gets her information?
She appears to cherry-pick data from research and deliberately omits anything that doesn't agree with her "findings".

Crockford says polar bear numbers remain strong and suggests the bears will be able to adapt to changes in sea ice. (So she admits sea ice is changing?)

Most scientists say that while some populations are doing fine, others — especially southern ones — are increasingly unhealthy. They say all populations risk sudden collapse once sea ice shrinks too much.

There was an increase in numbers a while ago due to bans on hunting because artic bears were listed as endangered species due to the effects of global warming.

Crockford is just a paid mouthpiece for denialists using junk science to mislead and misrepresent data and (cute and cuddly) Polar Bear populations are being used as a proxy to attempt to discredit all climate science by association.

Oil content in farm fed salmon has been reduced nearly 50 percent due to shortage of small oily wild fish worldwide to include in salmon feed. The 50 percent is expected to be reduced further.

Migratory seabirds returning to Australia from Alaskan waters are now emaciated on arrival and mass mortality is occuring.

Fish populations are devastated worldwide causing supply and demand influence to make it viable to engage in aquaculture even with production cost. Cost of wild fish with no feed or maintenance cost is now increasingly higher.

I think all government minister's are going to have to rethink policy to put solutions in place to overcome change to ocean chemistry and devastation of world ocean ecosystems.
