'After all that, where are we now?'

one very stupid country for demonising coal and pretending we can alter the climate. Now with pensioners freezing in winter and frying in summer we are the laughing stock of anyone with half a brain.

So many take so much for granted yet they don't sit back and realize just what it took to provide the things they take for granted. I suspect we are headed for a period that will make the recession we had to have look like a tea party in comparison. Remember, in the early 90's we had interest rates in the 20's at times, now, they are at around 4%. We have no fat left to trim so the next one is really going to hurt badly. We can either plan for it, or, we can sit back with our heads in the sand and pretend we are well off. You know being better off than others does not make you well off.
