In his weekly email to supporters, Australian Conservatives', Cory Bernadi, writes that: “ The unstoppable victimhood juggernaut leaves no element of society untouched. He refers, of course, to the moaning and groaning of an increasing number of people pumping victimhood for all it is worth, from clamouring for 'safe schools' to wanting Australia 'burned to the ground'. “... everyone is oppressed, bullied, victimised, abused or somehow owed an apology”.

Dead right, of course, and fostered or pandered to by the Coalition and Labor Party. The Greens, too, but only about 8% of the population votes for them. But, here's something new for you:

Bernadi claims that, as from the 1st of March this year, the nursing and midwifery board will insist that their members acknowledge 'white privilege' on demand. While (presumably) non-white women are giving birth, they can “demand” that the midwife own up to the privilege she enjoys simple by being white.

What happens in the case of a non-white midwife is not made clear, but I would have thought that a woman giving birth would have much more on her mind that crap like that! Would she be feeling particularly 'culturally vulnerable' at the time? And what happens if the midwife doesn't identify as white (you can call yourself whatever you like, these days)?

Once again I have to say, Australia is rooted.

strangely enough I was speaking to a nurse who is coloured and from overseas last night. She is aghast at the fact that one of the first nation people shows up to work whenver and if she feels like it. Of course no one can say anything because they would automatically be labelled racist. Maybe the nurse from overseas needs some 'cultural training'.

And it would appear that the biggest sooks of all are the tories. Seems it's nearly every second day you're on here, whining and whingeing on about how everything is worse than it was in the good old days.
