I thought this one had run it's course, so I wasn't aware of your post until I found out something else about Pyne that could be of interest.

I think Katter is a rare character we need more of; perhaps not many more in politics, though. Blogging like Larry Pickering, maybe, a foul-mouth agitator dying of lung cancers I just can't help enjoying.

Back to Pyne, who is denying that he tried to get an independent person in the form of the Mayor of Wattle Range Council to stand against a sitting, conservative Coalition member in a country seat. While Pyne denies everything, the Mayor has definitely confirmed the allegation. Young Christopher is a grub in any language.
