Yep!....we're all concerned about children...until there's a dog, cat or bird that needs to be saved.
There are those that genuinely commit themselves to the safety and welfare of children, and my hat is off to them.
Take away the financial aspect....how many do you have left?
Do you see a judge in the family court giving his/her time freely?...no neither do I

Hey Diver Dan and ilmessaggio,
When I did the survey, I answered most of my questions from a 'none of my business' point of view rather than an 'obligation to intervene' point of view.
But the issues where I did draw a line was on issues of a sexual nature around children and of kids being clothed and fed properly.

I think I should do something about my Socialist Base Level Jobs idea - that would remove the 'I can't get a job' excuse and 'create a culture of employment within the ranks of the unemployed'.
From my point of view its really the only main thing that can fix the dark side in the fabric of society.
- Fix things properly

I think there will always be some child abuse, but I see no reason why smarter policies couldn't be devised to lessen the problem.
I don't openly blame politicians for child abuse, but I blame their incompetence in developing policies, ideas and strategies that would actually make a difference.
