In the schools I attended it was the best kept secret or as far as I was aware we had none.

You can be sure the social engineers confuse and pervert the minds of as many kids as possible with their sick ideology. It will be 'cool' to identify as transgender. Won't the psych's and social service industry cash in.

Straight people make up 95% to 97% of the population and of that 3-5 % of non-straight, the vast majority are simply gay. The transgender community makes up a small fraction of 1%.

In my son's school, which was always very accepting, of the 1500 boys not one was transgender, which begs the obvious question of why the earth is moving for persons so rare that one could go through life without ever meeting one?

I believe that some twat is proposing to remove gender from sex education making it practically useless for the 95% of people most likely to fall pregnant etc.

The parents of children care what their children are being taught that might confuse or redirect their thinking into what the parents believe are perversions of their values or facts.

Until a child reaches 5 - 6 they are not aware of sex unless they have been exposed to sex. Many boys confined to the city demonstrate feminine characteristics until the age of puberty, with the teaching of Safe Schools it may influence them to believe they are really girls with a penis, especially if raised by a single or lesbian parents. Gender reassignment rises with the Safe Schools program.

With the amount of hormones in our processed foods that also has an effect upon developing bodies, experiments have demonstrated that gender traits can be changed by hormones. However unless surgery is performed they always retain their gender identity.

I believe the conflict in the homes has led to a rise in lesbian relationships, as parents do not demonstrate real love for each other, or fathers for their daughters

Biology is not "socially constructed", it is anatomical fact.

What you *do* with your anatomy is your choice, but the scientific realities remain the same, so should be taught the same to all students.

Perhaps the question is why is everyone running around predicting the end of civilisation when a small handful of people just want to be treated well, and not be bullied and made to feel ashamed. Perhaps if the reaction wasn't so extreme, then the counter-reaction (eg language) wouldn't be so silly.
There are many other things that are far more dangerous to civilisation: nuclear stand-offs, the political acceptance in the USA of free access to machine guns, the increasing divisiveness between people, fights over water (water issues bought down more civilisations than SSM)

MORE than a million people in the UK are gay, lesbian or bisexual and they are more likely to be men than women, according to official figures.

The huge number recorded by the Office for National Statistics last year represents 2 per cent of the population and is a rise on the 930,000 who identified as homosexual or bisexual in 2015.

Analysis of the data revealed that 16 to 24-year-olds were the age group most likely to identify as lesbian, gay or bisexual last year with about one in every 25 or 4.1 per cent.

The figure is up from 3.3 per cent in 2015.

This compares to just 0.7 per cent of those aged 65 -plus and highlights changing social mores combined with younger people being more likely to explore their sexuality.

Across the UK, last year saw a “statistically significant increase” in people identifying as LGB, with around 1.1m people or two per cent saying they were LGB, compared with 1.7 per cent in 2015.

Scotland had the highest proportion in the UK last year, with 2.2 per cent, while England followed with 1.9 per cent.

Northern Ireland and Wales both reported an LBG population of 1.7 per cent. London remained the region with the highest proportion of gay and bisexual people at 2.7 per cent, also a rise on the previous year’s 2.6 per cent.

The data also shows 2.3 per cent of men said they were gay or bisexual compared to 1.6 per cent of women who identified as lesbian or bisexual.

Some 0.5 per cent of the population identified as “other”, meaning they did not consider themselves to be lesbian, gay, bisexual or straight.

Huge number? It's approx. 1.68% of the population by my calculation, leaving 98.32% that are straight.

Whoever wrote that article has some funny ideas about statistics.

In experiments done with rats when an area is overpopulated bisexual and homosexual behaviour occurs. Persons who live in over crowded environments are also inclined to experiment sexually. Beside with the high level of hormones in our diet it can interferes with gender identity.

and of course the ever growing number of teenagers and others that regret going through surgery are ignored.

People who probably object to experiments being performed on rats are now having themselves experimented on by quacks with no morals. As

The journalist who described those figures as 'huge' is definitely wrong.

There are no firm figures for Australia's intersex

The national geographic article to which you link in your last post is scientifically informative and while giving valuable information on those born intersex from either chromosomal mix-ups or congenital mishaps, finds no scientific information about those who feel that they are in the "wrong" body.

Given that straight people make up roughly 97% of the population, the 1.7% that the gender advocacy group chose is a little high. Reading further on the article you linked the more reasonable consensus is that the % transgender is closer to 0.5%, therefore, given that 99.5% of the population (including gays and lesbians) clearly identifies with the sex that they are born with, the concept of gender fluidity is tenuous at best.

Which is why the safe schools initiative that tried to reprogram children's understanding of gender and sex to accommodate a minuscule minority was essentially horsecrap.

Follow the money, if it is only .5% of the population who stands to make money out of it becoming accepted.

Possible Lawyers, advocates, charities, councilors, politicians trying to raise there profile or breakdown social cohesion within a country.

Who with half a brain would try to appease .5% of anything?

I re-read my post and now feel that I should explain

was for us to look at the

citizens deserving of toleration and compassion as they

As an atheist, I have friends that are committed Christians, a Muslim, and a couple of Hindus. I treat them with the same tolerance and compassion as the rest of my friends. I don't need to twist my belief system to accommodate all their beliefs. Similarly, I have treated the one individual that I have worked with that was "transitioning", with tolerance and compassion without having to believe that gender is fluid.

I have the greatest sympathy for those suffering from gender dysphoria and believe that they should be treated as any other citizen and allowed to present in any gender they choose. However, it does not require all children to be indoctrinated in an ideology that has no scientific basis for the 1 in 200 individuals that they might meet.

In short tolerance and compassion good, safe schools horse crap.
