Last night on TV, with MSM story this morning, two Sudanese Apex gang members were given the opportunity to talk about themselves. One, who looked as though he had been kissing rats, actually mentioned his chances of citizenship! This is bizarre! But then, the whole immigration and citizenship thing in Australia is bizarre.

Dear ttbn,
I don't like their chances at getting citizenship. If you're of bad character and have a criminal record under the new laws you will have your visa cancelled and probably be deported after you've served your jail sentence. Your dream of citizenship will vanish. http://www.businessinsider.com.au/australia-is-deporting-members-of-melbournes-apex-gang-2017-1 Posted by Foxy, Wednesday, 3 May 2017 7:06:27 PM

The policy is presently that anyone that commits a crime especially a violent one is refused citizenship or renewal of residence, and is deported.

Foxy and SM,
That's the idea, but...?. Hasbeen, Liberty Victoria wants to award Gillian Triggs with a free speech prize, so anything's possible. Posted by ttbn, Wednesday, 3 May 2017 9:38:26 PM
