While the Left in the West is doing its best to aid the Islamists and totalitarians of the United Nations in their quest against Israel, the Security Council is still well ahead in the anti-Israel stakes.

According to Nikki Haley, new US ambassador to the UN, who has recently had her first Council experience, she heard nothing about the build-up of rockets in Lebanon; nothing about Iranian money to to terrorists in Palestine, nor about the continuing slaughter of civilians in Syria. No, the ear-bashing all went against Israel, “the one true democracy in the Middle East”.

Ms. Hayley said that she would “underscore the ironclad support of the United States for Israel”. It's hard to imagine whoever represents Australia in the UN saying anything like that!

As Cory Bernadi says, “... the anti-Israel agenda was supported by the PC Western world”, while he was based there.

It is high time the West, including Australia, reinforced its civilised, democratic credentials and pulled up stumps on the United Nations - headquarters for despots and totalitarians. (Source: Cory Bernadi newsletter)

The UN anti-Israel Bias?

Gee I wonder why that is?

Could it be that the General Assembly is made up
of 194 countries and only 40% being considered
democracies and many are 3rd world countries and
that there are a large number of Muslim countries.

That could be one explanation.

Another could be the singling out of Israel for opprobrium
and international sanction out of all proportion to any
other party in the Middle East is resented by Muslim
countries?

Another reason could be the massive US support, especially
financially?

The list goes on.

First the Islamist countries did not sign the UN Human Rights Treaty.
The majority of countries on the UN Human Rights committee are Islamist.

At that famous Security council meeting the Palestinians insisted
that the Dead Sea Scrolls should be handed to them as they are Islamic documents.

And people think the UN is sane ?
