Trump's election frees sceptics to speak without fear of retribution

Way back in 2013, in the midst of a very long thread in these pages about climate change, an argument developed around the so-called hiatus. Many of the warmists in that group didn't accept that such a thing existed and/or disputed the data.

As part of the discussion I wrote:
"I'm sure the good folk at data adjustment central are already on the job. At some point we'll find that they've done one of those miraculous 'data adjustments' which will retrospectively decrease the 1995 temps and thus, having tortured the data, it will confess to whatever they demand. they've done it so many times before it hardly even gets commented on any more."

As predicted, in 2015 scientists from NOAA came out with a paper which made adjustments to the data and disappeared the hiatus. The paper became known as Karl15 (main author Tom Karl) and the new data as the Pausebuster data.

From the outset the paper was doubted. It was rushed into print to beat the Paris climate meeting deadlines. Science magazine breached its own rules to do so.

Now a whistle-blower has come forth to lift the lid on how the game was played...

I won't cover all the issues about how they played fast and loose with the data. You can read about them via the link. But one interesting point to my guess made in the same that they would change the level of significance used, this quote from Bates ..."I questioned another co-author about why they choose to use a 90% confidence threshold for evaluating the statistical significance of surface temperature trends, instead of the standard for significance of 95% — he also expressed reluctance and did not defend the decision."

When Trump pulls the US out of the Paris agreement it will consequently collapse. Australia's policy to reduce emissions will become nonsensical.

With sceptics now or about to run NASA and the EPA, the strong pro-climate change policies of those organisations will change. And the sceptics within those organisations will be emboldened to stand up against the so-called Hockey Team consensus.

Global warming scam.

U.N. Official Admits Global Warming Agenda Is Really About Destroying Capitalism

Statement was made by a United Nations official Christiana Figueres at a news conference in Brussels.

Figueres admitted that the Global Warming conspiracy set by the U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, of which she is the executive secretary, has a goal not of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity, but to destroy capitalism. She said very casually:

“This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution.”

She even restated that goal ensuring it was not a mistake:

“This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model for the first time in human history.”

I was invited to a major political dinner in Washington with the former Chairman of Temple University since I advised the University with respect to its portfolio. We were seated at one of those round tables with ten people. Because we were invited from a university, they placed us with the heads of the various environmental groups. They assumed they were in friendly company and began speaking freely. Dick Fox, my friend, began to lead them on to get the truth behind their movement. Lo and behold, they too admitted it was not about the environment, but to reduce population growth. Dick then asked them, “Whose grandchild are we trying to prevent from being born? Your’s or mine?

All of these movements seem to have a hidden agenda that the press helps to misrepresent all the time. One must wonder, at what point will the press realize they are destroying their own future?

The sneaky frauds, instead of laying refrigeration pipes across the globe using solar panels to transfer heat from one place to another they plan something different. Change the economies , reduce population. Well, in the interests of newspaper profits we demand more heat , hotter economies and more sweaty bodies.

With apologies to Winston Churchill as I rehash his words, already, even in Trump's first few days in office, never in history have so many been beholden to so few - one man, in fact - President Donald Trump.

It's not beholden they're out of business. Churchill said "owed so much" and Trump gets his money.
