Yes, the BMA guide says on page 5: "A large majority of people that have been pregnant or have given birth identify as women. We can include intersex men and transmen who may get pregnant by saying ‘pregnant people’ instead of ‘expectant mothers’."

But even if that sounds a bit silly, this is just one of 14 pages of what mostly uncontroversial and sensible recommendations, such as:

"You should not make assumptions about individuals based on their professed religion or belief system. Not all members of a religion follow the same practices and observances." (page 6).
