<Bill Shorten's Chief Spin Doctor, Kimberley Gardiner, Exits as Labor Struggles in the Polls

Bill Shorten's chief spin doctor, Kimberley Gardiner, is leaving the Opposition Leader's office by mutual agreement following an internal review ahead of the next election.

In a move that will be interpreted as the Opposition Leader looking to sharpen his political messaging and re-connect with voters in 2016 after falling well behind Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull in the opinion polls, Ms Gardiner is leaving the role of communications director after more than three years working for Mr Shorten.>

Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Labor has kept this quiet to now.

Of course the 'fact-finding'(LOL) ABC with its Q&A, Tony Jones, Leigh Sales, Virginia Trioli, Emma Alberichi et al must all be acting very surprised. Not something they ever reported on while they were scolding Tony Abbott long and hard over Peta Credlin.

Not any possible lack of balance that Q&A reviewers Ray Martin and former SBS managing director Shaun Brown might have found odd either, of course.

It is good to see you are a solid supporter of the great ABC. That is the first time I have ever heard of that persons name. She was placed where advisers should be, and not front and centre. There lies the difference.
Bill is far behind in the polls against the popular Turnbull, it makes cense that he will try another angle. It is election year. But as we know elections are not won they are lost.
Unless Turnbull does something stupid by the voting public, Turnbull will win govt; He is quite competent, although a little behind in his ability. We need an election to cleanse the Liberal party of dead wood, which is causing disruptions. This ongoing disruption is at the moment the biggest obstacle against PM Turnbull.
Morrison has not exactly proved himself to be a satisfactory treasurer, and Dutton has more complications than is healthy. So a good flush out is in order to restore the once great liberal party.

579, "That is the first time I have ever heard of that persons name"

Just knew you and others would be surprised.

Gosh, an ABC 'oversight' you say? What could have blinded them?

Ray Martin should be giving his fee back.

Persons that have not been elected stay in the background and not seen. Our last PM his adviser had a habit of being in the foreground and finishing sentences or answering for him. That was seen as blatantly wrong for so many reasons.
Abbott could not control his staff and a lot of other things as well. Bill runs an efficient office, so if called upon bill is ready.

It must be of concern when the likes of comrade 579 praises Turnbull and then talks about clearing out the deadwood in the Liberal party. Fabius Maximus would be proud of you son. White ant them away if you don’t have a single alternative.

Poor Kimberley, it is impossible to spin if you have an absolute blank canvas to spin from given Shortens only talent is to wholeheartedly agree and support a view, even if he doesn’t know what that view is........Shorten is a bad union joke......here is a joke.........how many Bill Shortens does it take to agree with a point of view he has never heard?.........I don’t know what your answer is, but I agree with it anyway.......lolololol

Runs an efficient office if he ever arrives there in one piece. The only thing Shorten is ready for is to leave the scene of a traffic accident..........lolololol

There is very little slime in the bucket, Bill is comfortable with politics at the moment. Abbott’s 85 million worth of mud did not stick, what a blatant waste of taxpayers money for his own reelection campaign. Bill is reserving the right to answer the findings against him and other members of the Labor party.
PM Turnbull and Treasurer Morison are putting a tax reform package together for our appraisal, so that will be interesting. We have 579 companies here that pay no tax at all, so that deserves an explanation. This will be an interesting year politically, with Turnbulls PM popularity a all time highs. One silly mistake can see all that come crashing down. So lets hope for a well thought out tax reform package.
Turnbull is very well respected, although a little behind in the announcement of helpful changes stakes. Morison has yet to prove himself as a treasurer of substance. So it is all “happening”in the ACT.

The libs had the information but did not want to release it. Now what does that tell you. Abbott knew all about it but wanted to impoverish the little man with his tax reform. I have not seen anything about labor ever knowing about it. Through FOI they found that Brandis had a company tax statement and had to be forced to release it.
How can you impose taxation increases on people while you have 579 Companies paying no tax. An explanation please. No doubt to will take a massive amount of energy to extract “why’
So what is the problem with that, if the Libs think that is fairdinkum the voting public will undoubtedly think otherwise, and require answers.
Some of you lot are suffering from some sort of a conspiracy intellect to be suspicious of everything.
All we want in this country is a transparent govt; Not something concocted without consultation or thought. There should be 100% taxation accountability without being covered up by a govt; To me that is corruption

Sog,
Hey, lay off the criticism of 579.

He is the best labor supporter the LNP ever had.

Really shows their intellect, with a gift of posting it.

That is true Banjo, I believe in support where support is due and warranted. Some can not bring themselves to do that but I certainly can as with thousands and thousands of Labor supporters. Liberal won an election so I support the PM selected by them. Just like any charitable person would do.
I will be gone again to far away places on the 1st of march for 6 months. This year will be a boomer and exciting to say the least. When we get to vote all I hope is a considerable clean out takes place so we can have stability of govt; Turnbull has his head firmly screwed on so we should be in good hands.

579, "I believe in support where support is due and warranted"

That is obviously the view of the factions that control Labor.

They rigged it so the votes of Labor rank and file can be over-ruled.

So, are you a junior functionary representing one of those unions that control Labor. Or quite possibly you are another of the automatons who think and do what they are told. Red and Blue, Holden and Ford, Pies and everyone else, it is beaut being part of the mob and not having to hurt the brain with independent thought, eh what?

Shorten is miles behind in the polls.

So he sacked the girl who was his chief spin doctor.

The polls? Not his fault obviously.

Nothing to do with (say) doing squat about Labor's links with the CFMEU.
