So the world has signed some wonderful emissions reduction plan, but let me get this straight.

In the next ten years our population is going to grow.

Countries like ours, that are about to loose our major manufactures, while bringing in even more mouths to feed, are expected to increase our wealth, care for the extras, reduce our emissions (while feeding increased global demands) while we cant even provide for those who are here today.

Yea right! pull the other one I say.

If only politicians were accountable for their actions.

I am not sure which part you are objecting about. The almighty furor said the car makers had to go, so I suspect that somehow is going to create a windfall. It has taken 21 years to get a worldwide agreement on fossil fuel reduction, so it is well and truly time.

Population will increase and create growth, that is what we need. Turnbull’s innovation will create wealth, and reducing coal and other pollutants will clear the air.

There is an upturn in employment at the moment so that looks positive. Consumerism is the best it has been for 2 years, so people have warmed to Turnbull which all looks very positive.

It is hysterical that a bunch of bureaucrats and pseudo scientist think they can control the worlds climate. What a bunch of fools full of ego.

Runner you have taken for a ride again, who is worried about climate change Certainly not the deniers. We are headed for a pollution free environment that is all we have to be thankful for. So do not worry your god has not been damaged any more than usual

Oh of course Runner, the rest of the world is wrong about pollution and climate change, and you are right. You must feel humble in your own presence.

579, i see you are still living in a fantasy land where Dr Malcolm and his merry bunch of helpers will just wave their wands and all will be fixed. It kind of reminds me of your obsession with that Swan fool, you know, the guy who said we would return to surplus at any cost, and you believed him, despite the signs that were so obvious.

Well, i hate to alert you but those signs are there again as there is simply no way we can rely on innovation to pull us out of the hole we are headed for, and this commitment has just made that hole that much deeper. You must remember, those who we turn to for innovation, have one hand tied behind their backs because we have not addressed one simple IR law, that being the freedom to up skill their workforce without fear of retribution. Dream on!

Suze, we are not like the rest of the world, as unlike them, we are providers, not users as we massively over produce to maintain our standards of living, and we do this because our population is so small.

To provided the needs of the world uses massive amounts of energy and that energy produces carbon emissions, which is why we are the largest om-miter per capita.

My problem is how do we continue to provide the world, and hand our future generations a lifestyle like we have, and slash emissions in the process. Sorry, but thats simply not achievable unless we find a cheap, cleaner alternative source of energy, and that will take innovation and money, which, that in large to our open door policy and our free loaders that Rudd let in, we dont have.

Im willing to go on record as saying this will be a complete flop and if we proceed down this path we will seriously deprive future generation of things we took for granted.
