Is Malcolm Turnbul really that stupid to believe that screening Syrian and other refugees known to come from Muslim countries is the answer to avoiding terrorism?

It has little to do with the person who comes here as once they are they are able to be radicalised by extremist within and the pathetic part of it all is that they do so with our blessing as we support the likes of their mosques.

How is it that such high profile people , the likes of Turnbul can be so naive to think that screening them upon arrival is the answer to preventing terrorism.

He is either completely stupid, or his hands are so tied through political correctness that he cant see the obvious link between the free, unrestricted preaching s of Islam and terrorism.

I ask Mr Turnbul, was man Mannis screened?

Rehctub, I don't think any other PM or Government have agreed to allow any asylum seeker or refugee, or indeed any potential immigrant into Australia without screening, do you?
Anyone with a criminal record doesn't get in.
There is no way any Government can control what happens to these immigrants after they arrive either. That is just plain stupid to think they can.

Are we going to say to our Western friends, the Europeans, that they are on their own with the millions of refugees arriving in their countries?
How do you think that will go down, and what help would they then give us if say the Indonesians suddenly all took off in boats for our vastly open borders?

The PM is not stupid and knows we have to live with the rest of the world as well as Australia. If Abbott was such a star why was he chucked out by his own party?

Suze, the media is very clever at pulling peoples heart strings, as pretty much every time they show refugees they show picture of innocent little children, and they are just that, innocent.

But, once they arrive to the likes of Oz, they have all the tools they require should they choose the path of an extremist.

What we should be doing is shutting down all the mosques and intensify the monitoring of the internet and social media because if we just screen them upon arrival, then continue to provide the tools they require to become an extremist, then more fools are we.

Of cause there is no way all of these people turn to extremism, but, it only takes one to cause carnage.

Paris should be a wake up call and you can bet many countries will now close their borders.

As i have said before, WW111 has started, with the displacement of tens of millions, many if not most are Muslims.

Support them of you wish but dont cry wolf at a later date.

People like you may remain in denial, but dont say you have not been warned.

Really Rechtub it is the Australian public that is that stupid. They had a man who knew what was going on and had the guts to say it but allowed the regressives to topple him.

In Turnbull's case 'stupid' is the right word, if that stupid grin - he even put it on when his own party room sneered and jeered at him for his stupid remark about the Liberal party not being run by factions - is anything to go by. He actually thinks he is 'charming', as the loony Left media calls him. I'll just flash my whole-of-face smirk at the silly buggers, say 'it's all on the table', and I won't have to do a thing'.

Politicians have always been enemies of the Australian people, but Turnbull is the really big one. And that poor, weak sap, Abbott, covered up for him on The Bolt Report yesterday.

Politics in Australia is just a private club for stupid, self-serving people, looking for votes all the time - even from people who want to blow us up.

Butch,

As the Syrian refugees coming to Aus are coming directly from the camps in Turkey and Jordan, and are family units from minorities that are persecuted by ISIS, I think the risk is relatively low.

There is no impediment to safely admitting refugees from Syria provided we exclude Moslems. While it is a truism oft-repeated by appeasers that not all Moslems are terrorists, it is equally true that all terrorists these days are Moslems, and that it is from the Moslem religion that terrorists are emerging. It is not surprising considering the hate speech with which their Koran and hadiths instruct believers to enslave Kafirs (us non-believers) wherever the opportunity arises. Their holy instruction books give elaborate detail of the rules of enslavement called for, not unlike the Nazi enslavement of the people of the territories they grabbed in the East.

There are large numbers of Syrians that present no security risk to Australian freedom and human rights whatsoever. The Moslem warriors are currently carrying out genocide with the intention for example of wiping out the Yazidis. There are 230 thousand Yazidis in Syria, enough to fill our intake quota ten times over. There will undoubtedly be many other Syrians demonstrably untainted by Islam.

Just a thought. As most of those who have become socalled radicalised are those either born or raised from very young age. Wonder why this is so? Could it have something to do with how they have been treated in this country. Just a thought. I am sure when we look back, there will be many causes.

Screen away.
But it will do no good. Nothing can stop someone who is determined to die.

When will people wake up.
It is not someone reading the koran and deciding to become a suicide bomber. It is years of occupation and humiliation and oppression and war that drives someone to radicalism and extremism.

FIGHT WAR NOT WARS!

What you dont think young muslims in western countries could have anything to complain about Flo?

They should just suck up the abuse and suspicion that falls on them right? They should just "turn the other cheek" when their wives and daughters get abused on the street or on the train. They should just ignore the parrot and the cronulla rednecks who want to hurt them? They should just accept that they will be singled out and profiled by the police, customs, immigration etc?

Not to mention the blood ties that exist. Families that still live in their homeland get blown up. Uncles, grandfathers, brothers get imprisoned and tortured, or just blown up by a drone. Innocent or guilty they all die.

So nothing there that might radicalise someone? Even if they lived in London or Paris or Sydney?

There are plenty of reasons why isis and other such groups have arisen. First and foremost because the US thought they could use them to do their dirty work. Just like the mujaheddin, the taliban, alqueda, and now isis.
When will we learn?

Western Nations are only in the Middle East because the tribal /religious conflicts of the Arabs that have existed for thousands of years cannot continue in a civilized World. They see the Free and Democratic West as Crusaders so they are fighting the Crusaders.

Dear Josephus,
I could be wrong, but I think you'll find that the only reason western christian nations are in the middle is for the oil.
Most of the comments on this matter seem to ignore the part that Wahabism is playing, and it's place in Saudi Arabia, and where the Sunnis fit in.
The Wahabis are an extreme, puritanical sect feared by most of Islam. They have been both used and abused by the house of Saud, from whom they get most of their funding. (Yes, some of your fuel bill is funding terror!) If you are not aware of the Wahabism please don't comment on this matter.
WE are not at war with Islam, but that is what the Wahabis are trying to provoke. And we in the west are so stupid to be playing their game. Our reaction has been a great victory for the Wahabis. A story by Alastair Crooke in the Huffington post is good reading.

Spot on mikk,

"They should just "turn the other cheek" when their wives and daughters get abused [?]".

Exactly. What is a good mohammadian to do when his mum has been abused. Its the most natural and understandable thing in the world to grab that AK-47 that the nice mufti gave you as a reminded of better times, and blow away a few kaffir. Anyone would do the same thing, right? If a Vietnamese mum was abused on the street, they'd start shooting faster than you can say HoChiMinh. And Buddhists do it all the time.

And when your uncle or grandad is being attacked back in your real homeland, of coarse you're gunna take out a few coffee shops. After all, all your uncle and grandad were doing was following a centuries old custom of capturing rapaing and selling 12 yrs old Yazidi satanists. How dare these racists western nations interfer with our old customs.

Of coarse if the westerners really wanted to fix it they should let us bring all our uncles and grandads and first and second cousins out to live in the Islamic Republic of Lakemba. We need more first cousins anyway. Who else are we gunna force to marry us - a filth kaffir? Get serious.

And then you wonder why we shot first and ask questions...well never.

"When will we learn?"

mikk,

As I read your post I was thinking the same thing.

I guess our best bet, with statements from the likes of 'the Grand Mufti and National Imams Council' is to get the 'F' out of there and let them rape and kill each other, as our time, effort and dollars would be better spent protecting our nations borders, with extreme force if necessary.

Perhaps the message should be sent out, enter our waters illegally at your own risk.

As for the 12000 Syrian refugees, i think we are risking locking the fox up with the hens, but thats just my view. I say this because it only takes ONE to invoke fear into our nation.

Our leaders are not stupid.
They earn top money supporting minority groups and going to their free lunches and dinners.
Forty Muslims in Bendigo are getting government funding and support to build a Mosque.
Our stupid Councillors, and MPs are giving lip service to the Christian majority.
My local MP thinks it is OK for a small Muslim community in suburban Melbourne to start their own school teaching the superior Koran to the exclusive group who will run their own school, paid for by Aussie taxpayers.

Lets look at our screening.

Captain Emad was passed turned out he was the leader of a smuggling group as well as there were so many other things in his story that turned out to be lies.

Have all refugees live near politicians then see how quickly they change there minds about the invaders.

"I don't think any other PM or Government have agreed to allow any asylum seeker or refugee, or indeed any potential immigrant into Australia without screening, do you? Anyone with a criminal record doesn't get in".

Man Monis did.

He arrived at Sydney Airport on 28/10/1996 from Iran on a one-month business visa, under the name of Mohammad Hassan Manteghi
One week later on 5/11/1996 ASIO commences an investigation into Monis based on “potentially adverse information”.

Our Security/screening failed in this case, Iran provided intel on him, possibly ignored.

We all know the subsequent tragedy.

Saints, I think we have come a long way since 1996, as far as immigration goes.
Australia seems to have done better than most Western countries in keeping terrorist activities under control.

I doubt that our Government or legal system are any better or worse than other Western countries, so why do you think we have done fairly well so far?

It is like letting thousands of Germans in here when we were at war with them.
Just plain stupid.

Sues online.

I predicted 25years ago this multiculturalism,
Would lead to us being attacked in our own country.
Got that right didn't I.

I also thought that eventually as the non Intregated tribes here
Start to number in the millions they would eventually demand a separatist
State and eventually the territorial attacks we are seeing now will get worse and there will be civil war in this country.

I have no doubt in my mind going on what I see right across history, that
This country will be divided into 3 country's in a few centuries.

Of course once you let different ethnic groups in here, they keep trying to bring
Their whole tribe in here, that's why they are all for people arriving by boats
And immigration. Of course you may secretly support the idea of dividing Australia into
Another country once you have enough tribal members here.

It's way too soon to say multiculturalism has worked in Australia,

I have said in previous posts that politicians act incompetent. Poorly educated citizens, educated to believe what they're told, pick up on classroom student embarrassments, comparing understanding what happened at school with what happens in politics. It is easy to self-gratify understanding political events on politician mistakes, feeling as though events are real. Because embarrassing events at school were real.

Spin doctors inventing entertaining dramas to allow poorly educated citizen to feel democracy is real, propaganda.

Citizens feeling as though they know what is happening, don't like suggestions of conspiracy theories. Conspiracy theories cast doubt on peoples fix beliefs causing learning traumas.

“Saints, I think we have come a long way since 1996, as far as immigration goes. Australia seems to have done better than most Western countries in keeping terrorist activities under control”.

Yes Suse we have come a long way since 1996 - then along came over 50,000 illegals in 884 boats since 2006 to 2013. Many of them (how many – who knows) “lost/ditched” their passports before landing but not their mobile phones – Oh don’t touch the mobile phone!

Some arrived having no actual “documentary evidence” as to their name and/or birth details etc – oh unless they got one of those trendy “fake” passports on the way over. Oh and don’t forget that mobile phone so they can contact those Human Rights people.

You say - “So, why do you think we have done fairly well so far?”

Answer – Liberals stopped the illegal boats arriving on our shores.

Liberals also stopped the “daily” bell ringing announcements (to all media circles) and to illegal boat smugglers that “another boat had arrived on our shore”.

Liberals virtually shut down the people smuggler's business, however not before 1,200 “souls” were lost at sea on the way over, didn't worry the people smugglers - they got their money they didn't care if boat arrived or not.

Increased security intelligence agencies also have played their part, I applaud them.

The Government of the day (via their immigration policies and screening processes) decides who should be permitted to settle in Australia, – not the people smugglers who have their own agenda – money.

Whichever way you look at it Suse – they have already infiltrated Australian shores – with their latest terrorist recruit being 15 years old.

Note – I am a swinging voter with no alliance to Labor or Liberal - I just call it as I see it.

“I predicted 25years ago this multiculturalism, ‘Would lead to us being attacked in our own country.
Got that right didn't I”.

Yes, and many Aussies would agree with you.

Aussies (by tradition) are layback and readily welcome immigration of people (from all parts of the world) to settle on our shores, and join in with our Western Culture, to live peacefully, and in harmony, offering all immigrants a better way of life, we accept their religious views – and in the past all parties have lived in peace and respected all religions.

So what has changed?

Our Western culture v other cultures - or what I have learned against Aussie Culture
1. Drinking (not acceptable)
2. Betting – on whatever (not acceptable)
3. Females able to wear bikinis on beaches, pool areas etc – (not acceptable)
4. Females wearing current fashions – regardless of the fact that such fashion doesn’t end at ankle. (not acceptable)
5. Females going out and enjoying themselves with colleagues on a company function. (not acceptable – drink being available)
6. Celebrating Anzac Day – Latest news being a culture deems their children should not be forced to join in celebrations of Anzac Day. I believe no Aussie (school, etc forces anyone to join in our celebrations on Anzac Day.
7. Enjoying celebrating Easter – (not acceptable)
8. Celebrating Xmas – Oh God forbid we say “Merry Christmas” as opposed to “Happy Holidays”

I can certainly go on, as a person in charge of persons of multicultural cultures. I also advise we all got along and respected each other’s views etc. and had “fun” within our workplace, via sharing, compassion, respect and caring.

So those out there – who continually keep saying – oh religion has nothing to do with Australia, and our lifestyles – you are all so wrong
