It has been reported that the teen terrorist had in fact been in meetings with adult Muslims at the Mosque prior to his callus act, a fact that those at the Mosque denied.

While these places are referred to as places of peaceful worship, may I suggest this proves otherwise and perhaps it's time we shut them all down because the time has come to forget the PC angle and take serious action before more attacts occur.

Should we ban Islam from our peace loving nation before it's too late, that's if it's not already too late.

Murder suicides are committed by VW drivers with dud exhausts and using Chinese-made kitchen knives against non-male members of the man's world. A car driver shot a police pig at Tamworth which has
a growing number of men, VWs and kitchen knives.

it's impossible to ban it but it would be easy enough to ban people under 21 from certain Mosques, prayer rooms and certain bookshops.
If correctly reported these events show what we already suspected about mosques and Imams, very few Muslims have the time or the inclination attend a Mosque on a regular basis so they've become gathering points for society's loafers, nutcases and public nuisance types. Imams are usually old men who grew up in very different societies to this one and who, in this case at least don't seem to interact with the people in their congregation, especially the young.
The role of Middle Eastern gangsters in Curtis Cheng's murder is suspected but not clear, this has also been something we "racists' have been complaining about for years, Middle Eastern gang crime is peculiar in that they are so brazen, so extreme and seem to want public attention which leads us to wonder if there's more to these gangs than meets the eye.

The police are doing their best to find out what exactly happened and when, It is useless to jump to conclusions until the truth is known. It makes for useless reading, full of proviso’s.

When the truth is known we can then make judgment, The Mosque has CCTV so anyone that entered it will be known and traced to see what their part in this despicable act was. All we know at the moment is that kid did not get those sort of ideas on his own, plus a gun

The Razor gang wars, 1927-31

The suburbs of Darlinghurst, Woolloomooloo and Kings Cross in Sydney in the late 1920s and early 1930s was a world in turmoil with vicious ‘razor’ gangs battling for control of the criminal underworld. The upsurge in organised crime in the late 1920s is usually attributed to several factors:

•the prohibition on prostitution
•the prohibition on selling cocaine through legalised outlets such as chemists, and
•six o’clock closing of public bars and hotels.

The razor gangs were the criminal underworld that ran organised crime often centred on these three areas. They are called razor gangs because of the cut throat razor (a straight shaving blade) that was the weapon of choice, especially after the Pistol Licensing Act of 1927 meant automatic gaol time for anyone caught carrying an unlicensed firearm.

Gang leaders

The razor gangs at the heart of the razor gang wars of 1927-31 were led by two very different women: Tilly Devine and Kate Leigh.

Tilly Devine, known as the ‘Queen of Woolloomooloo’ ran a string of brothels centred around Darlinghurst and the Cross, and in particular, Palmer Street. Kate Leigh, known as the ‘Queen of Surry Hills’, was a sly groger and fence for stolen property.

Tilly and Kate’s battle for supremacy led to a running battle in the streets of Sydney that left many people dead, disfigured or doing gaol time.

A map of Sydney c.1927 (SR Map 6235) showing where the Razor Gangs controlled.
--

Dovo razors are available with a variety of premium handles and blades, with 5/8” varieties recommended for general use, while 6/8” are best for experienced shavers. Whichever you choose, shaving with a cut throat razor and a shaving brush is always a special experience.

Nicknamenick.
So you have to go back to 1927 for your example of White gang activity?
You'll be surprised to learn then that the Sydney underworld of that era included Italians, Jews, Irish, Aboriginals, Chinese and Jamaicans, Australian gangs have always been multicultural as they are now, if you're handy with your fists and light on your feet, you're in.
That's not the case with the Middle Eastern, African and Asian gangs of 2015 and there are no all White crews around that I've heard of, all the real suburban youth gangs besides the ones I've named are made up of kids of various backgrounds who band together for protection from the Lebanese, Sudanese and Vietnamese.

Having allowed, even encouraged Muslim immigration, the idiots responsible for the feel-good gesture cannot ban mosques. In Australia's democratic system, the right to freedom of worship is a given. Muslims have the same right, irrespective of the appalling behaviour of some of them.

The big, stupid mistake was to allow Muslim immigration in the first place. That's what happens when big-timers, seeking kudos for being inclusive and 'good' don't do their homework and think about the results of their attention seeking actions. They should have studied Islam before they made their stupid decision. THEY DID NOT.

Australian citizens, Muslim or not, cannot be deported. Most of the trouble seems to be coming from lunatics actually born here. It might be possible to deport dual citizens: I don't know how that legislation is going. If it has passed through the Senate, we can bet our bottome dollar that nobody would be deported under the socialist PM, Turnbull.

It is doubtful that a leader with courage who takes seriously the duty of protecting the country and its citizens will arise from the current shower of morons in parliament to ban Muslim immigration in the future. That might make some difference, and be a warning to Muslims already here. perhaps wanting to make use of the family reunion programme.

But, I am devastated to have to say that it is too late now to do anything. We put our trust in stupid people who's only interest is a cosy career and advancement of power over us, and they abuse the trust and let us down every time because of their arrogance, ignorance and downright stupidity. When it all goes pear-shaped, they lie (eg nothing do with Islam) and sit with their fingers crossed until the next incident.

It's hopeless and has gone too far:

On the afternoon of 28 April 1770, when Lieutenant James Cook and an armed party of
marines came ashore in their boats, two Gweagal men shook their spears and shouted their
defiance. “Their countenance bespoke displeasure; they threatened us, and discovered hostile
intentions, often crying to us, Warra warra wai,” wrote Parkinson.7 These words, meaning “go
away” or “begone,” were the first ever spoken to Europeans by the Indigenous inhabitants of
south-eastern Australia.

Ttbn,
Yes and now they not only have Islamic extremists to deal with but rising Left wing militancy and a resurgence of Nationalism and Racism, this is what happens when you ignore the home front and focus your government on relations with China.
For at least 10 years Australia has been run exclusively for the benefit of foreign multinationals and their partners in the Australian elite, the political education of the Australian people has been ignored so they've turned to the internet and many have come to the conclusion that the real function over government is to do things TO us, not FOR us.

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews took part in a roundtable meeting with diversity and multiculturalism advocates in Bendigo this morning.

He said the extreme and hateful views of bigots must not be tolerated.

"This is not about planning, this is not a protest against a mosque, it's a protest against Muslims and I think that's wrong," he said.

"I don't think these protests, this bigotry, this hate, is in any way in accord with what Bendigo stands for.

"I know there are a lot of people in Bendigo who are very upset, they're really sad about the fact that their town is getting a bad name."

Protesters from the anti-Islam group United Patriots Front (UPF), the same group who staged the mock beheading, led a protest rally against the mosque in Bendigo in August.

UPF was also involved in violent clashes with police and anti-racism protesters in Melbourne.

Doog,
Both your opinions and those of Premier Andrews are so obviously incorrect they are not worth commenting on.

For example, what is wrong in having a dislike for Islamic ideology. Show me what is nice about Islam? I would like to see all the good Islam does and the good it advocates. Does the word 'love' for fellow man have any concept in Islam?

Let me explain via a very simple example how the media and politicians distort the truth, scroll down in this link and look at the photo of the yelling man.
http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/antimosque-protesters-wouldnt-be-able-to-spell-bendigo-premier-daniel-andrews-20151009-gk51sq.html
Read the caption and understand that nothing in that line is true, the men are not UPF members, the names and photos of the UPF members are available on their Facebook page. What's more the photo was not taken at the August rally, even though it may have been shot on the same day it was taken in Hargreaves Mall, hundreds of metres away, you can see the sign for the Original Pie Shop in the background.
So nothing in that article is truthful or accurate and the Premier's comments are ill informed, condescending and divisive, get used to the fact that Fairfax and channel 9 are opposed to the UPF and report according to their bias and what's worse is that they think their readers are stupid.

That is the day Bendigo was infiltrated by radicals, it is well known. They had no intention of having a peaceful demonstration, it was a set up right from the start.

A demonstration is not meant to disrupt local business, doing their Saturday trade. That is exactly what was the intention. Collateral damage was extreme.

This mob looked like something you would find in a prison.

A band of no hoper idiots. A midweek beheading shows the mentality of these terrorists. That is no way to have a peaceable demonstration. This weekend there was supposed to be a wine festival in town, which has been canceled.

Bendigo is a peaceful town with weather other parts would love to have.

The police are ready to help protesters have a peaceful demonstration; once that line is crossed the gloves are off. Dogs and all.

150 muslim people live in Bendigo. And they are disgusted at the events that have taken place. An out of control demonstration is a terrorist attack.

Special CCTV is in place for the event. Which is no less than thuggery and disruption to a peaceful town by outsiders.

Doog I was there from start to finish, it was totally peaceful, all of the violence comes from the pro Islam side, they burnt the flag to provoke a fight and the reason a handful of UPF supporters broke through the line is because the Leftists were spitting on them. That scuffle played over and over on the news was over in about fifteen seconds, no one was hurt, no one was arrested, look for the video on facebook.

I am disgusted with the PM as he urges 'mutual respect' in relation to muslims. We have given muslims every respect relative to their religion, and the same to other religions, but that respect has not been returned by many muslims.

Why is it the youth of other religions are not being radicalized and want to harm us. If muslims want to continue to enjoy the freedoms they get here then they had better quickly get their act together and set themselves on the right path. The PM should reach out alright, grab their shirt front and poke them in the chest and make it clear we will not stand by and allow the situation to continue. The politicians first responsibility is to ensure our citizens have a safe and cohesive society. We do not actually need muslims, there are plenty of others that can replace them and will do unless there is a change of attitude.

We can stop further entry of muslims and deny citizenship to those already here. Deny family reunion provisions and allow their youths to go to overseas war zones and not allow them re-entry. We can place restrictions on muslim activities if we wish and we will do so if muslims continue to hold our laws and society in contempt.

Let it be known we demand respect from all within our borders otherwise we will send them packing.

That would be a start. Not the soft lovey dovey approach he has adopted.

Poor judgment or not they are here, so lets deal with the situation. Muslim's have been here for 50 years or more.

Banjo Give peace a chance. Abbott did exactly nothing to promote relations with Muslims, he antagonized the situation at every turn. His approach was to use his own style of terrorism against them. That was never ever going to work. Death Cult was stupid and inflammatory.

Turnbull has the perfect approach, it all remains to be seen, but it has merit. You must get the Muslims on side, or you have no hope. Treat them like citizens. But with a firm hand.

Our biggest concern is the rise of Australian radical groups, which will fuel the distrust and cause anxiety amongst Muslims. They need to be monitored and controlled just like Muslim extremism.

A 15 Year old kid did not do that of his own accord, and the police are doing a great job at searching out his mentors, and appropriate action will be taken. This case was a situation that allowed itself to be fully researched, probably the best case we have had for really getting to the bottom of why and how.

A blanket approach will not work, So give Malcolm a go, at least his head is level and firmly in place.

Turnbull's "mutual respect" is idiotic. Muslims don't respect anyone. The Muslim so called leader cannot even speak English after 20 years in Australia, and refuses to aknowledge Islamic terrorism until he gets 'evidence'. How thick is he! He also says that hate-preaching and terrorism is 'imported' and not local. Well, hooley dooley, everything Islamic is imported, and the terror bit is in the Koran. Perhaps the 'mufti' doesn't speak or read Arabic, either. And let's not forget that that same Koran orders Muslims to lie (forget the Arab words for it; it is plain old lying in English), particularly when they are in the minority, and under threat. So, when they try to please their ally and apologist, the Prime Minister of Austratralia, by making appeasing noises, their is more chance than not that the are lying.

The fool Turnbull might be a smart, succesful (wealth-wise) lawyer and banker, but, like most Australians politicians, he is completely ignorant of Islam. He is a dangerous idiot, making a fool of himself, of Australia, and he is risking our safety and security.

The ABC proudly announces today that the gathering of non-Muslims outside the mosque being linked with the Islamic terror murder of an innocent Australian was outnumbered by a gathering of Muslims. I believe that public demonstrations have b...... all effect on anything, and this proves it. A few primitive thinkers of who-knows-what persusion decide to hold a primitive get-together, and even MORE Muslim primitives stage a bigger do, signifying that they 'will beat the the first mob with numbers. All the non-Muslim primitives are doing is reinforcing the Muslim belief that numbers and shouting win the day. Muslims habitually shout at each other, and he who shouts the loudest wins the day or argument. There's another tip for ignoramus Prime Ministers who think they can make 'nice' Muslims without know a thing about the evil, religious/lifestyle organization. Turnbull needs to listen to David Cameron, who has finally woken up to the fact that being tolerant of such an organization has ruined Britain, and must stop.

Butch,
You said, "History one day will show that letting them in was a case of poor judgment"

That is a clear understatement! I would say a case of utter stupidity, especially in the light of our immigration department advising they were not suitable immigrants.

The allowing of muslim immigrants was a gross mistake and was bleeding obvious from the start. The politicians should be shot for treason. Yet the polys still bring them in. How to stuff up a good country? Shortly we will be the same as the UK and Europe.

And who was the last PM to let them in. So much for his wisdom. I believe in the treason scenario as well. The fact is they are here.

All I can see is Muslim against Australian is not a good idea. Especially when the Australian is a specific group. It would be different if it was Australia as a whole. But it is vested interests and thug gangs.

That is where it is wrong. The powers that be should be the ones that need to take notice, not hooligan tribes against police, and rural towns.

Ask Malcolm to have a referendum at the next election, and get a proper count. We can not assume a group that has chosen to be violent knows the consensus of all Australia.

We as a nation must move as a whole and not as radical minority, violent group.

There is no problem in Bendigo with our 150 Muslims.

Fraser was the first to allow muslims in a big way, against advice, the every government since has continued the error.

There will never be a referendum because the polys know the vast majority would vote to stop muslim immigration.

Both the NSW and the Vic Premiers and the PM have made stupid statements in the last week, as though muslims are the victims.

Reason and appeasement only work when you are dealing with reasonable people. Muslims are not reasonable, they will not compromise on anything, that is why they are not compatible to our society. History has shown this. Non muslims from the ME have made good immigrants with no conflict. Islam is the problem.

There is nothing that can not be changed, it’s a matter of getting their confidence so talks can take place. Confrontation will never achieve this.

Our authorities are the best to handle that. To tar all Muslims with the same brush is not a good idea. There is an extremist element amongst them. The idea is to deal with that element, and the best way is to have them in your confidence.

Frequent reporting and liaison from mosques, with familiar persons would be a great start. No doubt our recent PM did a lot of damage. And that damage has to be repaired first.

Islam is a man’s religion, and parts of it are not acceptable practice in Australia. That has to be taught from the Mosque.

What was done in the old country is not what is done here. All races that ever came to Australia had to adjust. I do not believe because they are Muslim makes it impossible for them to change, that is a very shallow way of looking at it.

Muslims are not born terrorists they have to be taught that way. To achieve this the mosques have to be in your confidence and willing to take part. That is your Number one port of call.

There will have to be some legislation to make certain aspects law, So authorities can take action against Mosques that are not complying.

I say Turnbull has shown great leadership by not getting flustered about recent terrorist activity. And handling the situation with an intelligent mind. Mosques are the place to start.

Police are handling their investigations well, and Turnbull does not need to carry on with slander or anti Muslim rhetoric, which only inflames a situation, and complicates their efforts.

Doog,
It is not the Mosques that do not comply with our laws, it is muslims themselves because they believe Islam law is above Australian law. We have laws in place but they are not enforced.

The head of a muslim womens advisory body , in SW Sydney said she knows of at least a hundred underage marriages at any given time, yet nothing is done. There is 1100 girls at risk of FGM each year. How many actually get cut is unknown even though some records are available from hospitals. The laws are not enforced because polys are scared of upsetting some muslims, so they get away with it. Polygamy is practiced but the marriages not state registered.

Anti social behavior is rife among muslim youth, as shown by the young bloke arrested on his way to school the other morning, they hold our social standards in contempt. This is taught from the cradle like the mother with baby in pram with a sign saying 'behead those that insult Islam' and that pic of a 4 yo boy holding up a severed head.

Good luck if you think you can reason with such culture. The Parramatta murderer is praised on facebook as are the gang rapists in jail.

Unfortunately, within the next sixty or seventy years Australia will be under Islamic control together with their beloved Sharia law in place ? I sincerely hope I'm wrong, perhaps I'm out a decade or two, but I'd bet my police pension I'm right in the medium term ! If you vehemently disagree with me, please tell me so ?

This latest crime of unbridled Islamic violence, perpetrated against a completely innocent civil servant who by happenstance was employed by the NSW Police Department. It leaves me in no doubt whatsoever, the Muslims will eventually wrest control. Why ? Because both major Parties have been substantially weakened, as a result of all the cabal ridden activities that have been permitted to unremittingly suppurate their resolve, from within. Thus rendering either Party unable to effectively counteract any attempt of Muslim annexation.

Mr TURMBULL actually admonished us, "us the general Australian population", that we must not blame the Muslim community at large, for what this 15 year old killer did, in the name of Islam ? Oh I get it (sorry I'm so bloody dim witted!), lets blame the Anglicans or the Methodists, or the Catholics perhaps, anyone as long as it's not the Muslims ? I respectfully rest my case.

Abbott obviously had no intention of enforcing them.
Turnbull has made a start, he has made contact and we will see where we go from there.

60-70 years for a policeman that did not enforce rules you could be right. They have been here some 50 years now, so not much advancement is there.

Choppers x 2 flying around town here today. Who pays for that.
It will take plenty of luck and willpower, but a level headed man is in charge, so we could see advancement hopefully. It certainly is a job that needs doing urgently.

Police may need more than a murder charge to enter a Mosque, unless the murder was created inside the Mosque. [ But if those laws are in place we best implement them. ] More than police would need access to the hierarchy of a Mosque. That is why Liaisons is paramount.

These people are no different than we are, it’s a matter of what they have been taught. Women just toe the line, they know no difference. Maybe they need de programming, which Is not an uncommon fact in some cases like special soldiers.

A plan of implication is now being put together, so we wait and see.

Whatever the outcome I am backing Turnbull to make positive advancements in this case, or else I will install Bill.

Doog,
You show your ignorance.
Except for those laws directly dealing with immigration, the laws are enforced by the states. For example, laws were made regarding FGM in 1994-5 and only now is the first prosecution taking place. Both Labor and LNP have had responsibility during that time and many Premiers have come and gone. Abbott has nothing to do with it.

Doog,
It is not the Mosques that do not comply with our laws, it is muslims themselves because they believe Islam law is above Australian law. We have laws in place but they are not enforced.

You mean the Muslims are not practicing Australian law.

Well they must be informed that islam law only applies when they live in the old country. There could be reading difficulties there also.

State laws, I must see what it says.

Abbott done a lot of damage while he was PM. With his Death Cult. He could even be at one of those fake demonstrations today.

Muslims get their instruction from the Mosque, so it is up to the Mosque to let people know what is expected of them. The thing is the Mosque only talk to men as far as I know. So there needs to be instruction from women’s organizations as well. This is no doubt what is being worked on with Turnbull.

I don’t think there has been much activity here. Not like Sydney seems to have.

Demonstrations against a VEECAT approved Mosque here today with Choppers and police , dogs and some sort of implement at the fire station. All up there is 1,000 police in the area. Anything to cause a disruption. This mob is violent, and without scruples.

How's the reading going?

Some great prose in there; is your copy in English and Arabic?

Mine is, I can't read Arabic but my wife can and she says that no English translation can really do justice to the beauty of the original.

Hi there RUNNER & DOOG...

Whatever personal values an individual may have, I don't recall anything inscribed in the Christian Bible advocating death to all non-believers and inciting others to participate in violence against everyone else who doesn't practice Christianity?

In fact whatever fundamental flaws there may exist in Christianity, as far as I know there's nothing at all about harming others, whether they're believers or not ? I should hasten to add herein, as a practicing atheist, I don't know very much about other organised world religions ? Save for the overt display of aggression and violence, which is proudly advocated by the entire Muslim community in toto.

Moreover, they're totally conspicuous in their conviction for systematically annihilating all infidels, without qualification ? In other words, that includes the senseless slaughter of men, women and children, without reservation or limitation ! Oh what a fine compassionate religion they seek to pursue ? I suppose it's open only to psycho's and barbarous psychopaths ?

DOOG...You mentioned police entering a Mosque, with or without a warrant ? Police are always mindful about using their 'power of entry' in structures or premises primarily used for religious purposes, irrespective of the religion practiced therein. Any unintended desecration of either the building or the service being conducted therein can cause massive resistance to any (productive) future police inquiries, notwithstanding the precise offence(s) being investigated?

Often executive level police are somewhat apprehensive of 'rattling the cage' whenever a warrant is being sought. Similarly, the same applies to members of the judiciary, as they too are nervous, whenever they're asked to issue a warrant to search or apprehend. A case of walking on 'eggshells' ? In many first world countries, if there's a tangible, apprehension and suspicion of terrorists activities, the police are empowered to act, and act resolutely and decisively !

However we in Australia, are somewhat more restrained before we act ? Some may call it political paralysis in the decision making mode ? While many others refer to these upstanding members of the judiciary as 'jelly judges' or similar ?

Well there you go Doog, the UPF and ANTIFA were kept separated on either side of Bendigo creek yesterday and apart from one incident where a leftist tried to steal someone's camera there was no violence and the Police said they were very pleased with crowd behaviour.

OTB Obviously Bill did not want to say something different to the PM, Not knowing what she said. He was not evasive he is being cautious. The Pm at the time wouldn’t want any of her party to go against or say something different than she did.

It’s possibly the mind workings of the Far right Conservative faction of the Liberal party that can see anything devious about his comment. I never had any problem with it.

To go against your leader would be a disaster. We did see a lot of it going on between Abbott and Hockey. Abbott making policy on the run and Hockey coming in over the top of his PM. The press had a field day with it. Of course it was all an ABC conspiracy out to get Abbott.

Abbott wanting the ABC to talk up the economy, caused bemusement for obvious reasons.

Mal is settling in well, a party meeting on yesterday. Mr Abbott found his way there and Mal talked him up, as a remarkable PM. He is a very kind person, I say he will make a really positive Pm. Between mal and Bill we will be in for stability for quite some time, that is what I am hoping for anyway.

Have you read it?

Deuteronomy 7:1-6
7 When the Lord thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;

2 And when the Lord thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:

3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.

4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the Lord be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.

5 But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire.

6 For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

Deuteronomy 20:13-17

13 And when the Lord thy God hath delivered it into thine hands, thou shalt smite every male thereof with the edge of the sword:

14 But the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that is in the city, even all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take unto thyself; and thou shalt eat the spoil of thine enemies, which the Lord thy God hath given thee.

15 Thus shalt thou do unto all the cities which are very far off from thee, which are not of the cities of these nations.

16 But of the cities of these people, which the Lord thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth:

17 But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee:

And so on: that's just a couple of examples from a single book of the Bible, not a comprehensive survey of its exhortations to violence because I don't have all day to sit about reading mouldy old religious tomes.

Of course, there's lots of stuff in the Bible about peace and love and all that too. The point is that the Bible - as with most religious texts - has all sorts of stuff in it, and if you have the time and the patience you can cherry-pick quotes from it to support any position imaginable. As I've pointed out before, the Westboro Baptist Church and the Uniting Church of Australia are poles apart but they both profess to be Christian and they both back up their theology with reference to the same Bible. They can do this because they cherry-pick the bits that support their views and ignore the stuff that does not.

Doog, so UPF are peaceful protestors aren't they?
And they're not "Racists" either, are they?
And their supporters are almost all from Bendigo, even the anti Racist spokeswoman admitted as much to the ABC.
See the only time violence has occurred is when the pro Islam groups have attacked the so called patriots or tried to prevent people from getting into UPF demonstrations, when the counter protest withdrew to the town hall many of the Police were stood down and allowed to go and have a rest in the shade, what does that tell you?

You say leftists on one side is it a political match up. I know the far right are against Muslim’s of any description Mr Abbott confirmed that with his rhetoric. Doog the UPF rallied in Forest St and marched to their rally in Rosalind park, only the Anti Racists were on the city side of the creek.
All of the warnings of violence related to the Left because they still for some reason tolerate the ANTIFA and Stephen jolly's socialist contingent, they are the ones with the "outsider" problem, not the UPF.
Of the 150 or so Anti Racist protestors only about 30 were from Bendigo, about 75 came up on the train from Melbourne yesterday morning with ten Police on board to keep order, the rest came in by car or had arrived on Friday and stayed over.
Don't bother reading the Addy, they're not going to tell you the truth, here's some photos from yesterday.
http://www.facebook.com/unitedpatriotsfront/posts/185631471771313
You'd be surprised at the number of Aboriginal people supporting the UPF, I've met several at their rallies, I didn't understand it at first either but there you go.
The UPF rally had about 500 attendees, much the same as last time, the other side had about 150 but the crowd at the car park near the court house grew as people in town came for a sticky beak.
The UPF crowd, demographically was pretty representative of Bendigo's population, maybe 95% White and ranging in age from teenagers to pensioners.
This is pretty much the entire UPF "outside" element, they took up one table at the pub last night, though most of the people there are probably local well wishers:

Doog,
This is footage of the only violent incident at yesterday's Anti Racism rally, the Anti Racists hate being filmed, they guy in the leather jacket was photographing them and they attacked him and took his camera. He is told to get back by the Police, resists and is dealt with:
http://www.facebook.com/stopthemosque100914/videos/908175779271590/
I don't know who he is, he's not known to Nationalists so given that he's carrying a camera bag he's probably just a freelance photographer or an amateur out for some good shots for his collection.
This is what the Left are like though, a Channel Seven reporter was punched in the face at the July rally in Melbourne and several passers by who basically looked at the Anti Racists the wrong way were thrown to the ground and set upon.
Doog Mayor Cox is a liar, Fairfax and WIN are liars and the No Room For Racism group are like a hardcoremore street gang trying to attract and incite violent, angry people than political movement, you can believe who you want but this isn't going away.

Hi there TONI LAVIS...

I'm sorry I have to defer to your knowledge of the Christian Bible, as I had all that stuff knocked out of me in South Vietnam.

What I was trying to say, in contemporary times we don't see Christian people roaming around the place attempting to decapitate others for failing to believe in the Christian doctrine. Sure we had the excesses of the Christian Crusades and the Knights Templar and their cohorts in the Holy Land ? Inflicting violence of all kinds, upon the Muslim strongholds ensconced therein, nevertheless we don't try that brutal style of evangelicalism these days fortunately ?

Back on topic, I do agree fundamentally at least, that many of the Mosques we have in Sydney must first:-

(i) Be officially registered. And all Imams must be similarily registered. That should in some measure, halt many of these unofficial 'backyard Mosques' that hitherto have been permitted to flourish under the radar so to speak;

and

(ii) Secondly, all Imams seeking to preach in these Mosques, must first, be prepared to have their sermons, speeches, or talks officially analysed, appraised and evaluated, in other words fully audited. This will ensure the Islamic leadership, is NOT attempting to engage in language of a kind that's calculated to incite, inspire, nor radicalise any individual, Muslim or otherwise, to take up arms against either the Australian Government or any of it's citizens or visitors under her protection.

Will any of these measures stop this burgeoning climate of Islamic terrorism ? Probably not, but it might just slow it down a bit ?

Question: "Shia and Sunni Islam - what are the differences?"

Answer: The main difference between Sunnis and Shias lies in their interpretation of the rightful succession of leadership after the death of the prophet Muhammad. The declaration of faith to which all Muslims assent is this: There is no God but Allah, whose prophet is Muhammad. However, the Shiites add an extra phrase at the end: and Ali is the friend of God. Because the Shiites passionately attest to Ali being the successor to Muhammad, much feuding and division have been caused in the world of Islam, not unlike the feuding between Protestants and Roman Catholics in Europe during the Reformation. However, the schism that sets up the major sects of Islam is not due to doctrinal issues, as between Protestants and Catholics, but is grounded in the identity of the “true successor” to Muhammad.

Among the close disciples of Muhammad was Ali, his son-in-law, who was most familiar with his teachings. However, when Muhammad died in A.D. 632, the followers bypassed Ali, whom the Shiites claim as the rightful successor to Muhammad. Instead, a cousin of Muhammad’s third successor, Uthman (A.D. 644-656), called Mu’awiya Umayyad, declared himself caliph. When he died in A.D. 680, his son Yazid usurped the caliphate instead of Ali’s youngest son, Hussein. The feud between rightful successors or caliphs was fought at the battle of Karbala. Hussein was slain, but his sole son, Ali, survived and continued the line of succession. Yazid, however, gave rise to the Ummayad line of succession, from which modern-day Sunnism arose.

As for their beliefs, both Sunni and Shia Muslims agree on the five pillars of Islam. While the Sunnites honor Ali, they do not venerate their imams as having the gift of divine intercession. Sunnites conduct community prayers and believe they can have a direct relationship with God. Of the two, Shiite Muslims have a burning desire to engage in martyrdom and believe that suffering is a means of spiritual cleansing. They dwell on the martyrdoms of Ali and Hussein, especially over the ten-day period of Ashura. Also noteworthy is the veneration that Shiites give to the imams, believing they are endowed with infallibility in their interpretation of the Qur’an. In many ways, this mirrors the way the pope is venerated in Rome.
In terms of actual practice, the Sunni Muslims pray five times a day: the fajr, the zohr, the asar, the maghrib and finally the isha (“darkness”). Shia Muslims only pray three times—morning, lunchtime and sunset. Another important difference between the two sects is that Shia Muslims permit fixed-term temporary marriage, known as muttah. Muttah was originally permitted at the time of the Prophet and is now being promoted in Iran by an unlikely alliance of conservative clerics and feminists, the latter group seeking to downplay the obsession with female virginity which is prevalent in both forms of Islam, pointing out that only one of the Prophet's thirteen wives was a virgin when he married her.

Iran is overwhelmingly Shia - 89 percent. Shia Muslims also form a majority of the population of Yemen, Azerbaijan, Bahrain and 60 percent of the population of Iraq. There are also sizeable Shia communities along the east coast of Saudi Arabia and in Lebanon. The well-known guerrilla organization Hezbollah, which forced the Israelis out of southern Lebanon in 2000, is Shia. Worldwide, Shias constitute 10 to 15 percent of the overall Muslim population, but they make up the majority of the radical, violent element of Islam

Dear doog,

Please take whatever Jay of Melbourne says with a very large grain of salt. This persons track record of mightily embellishing reporting on protests is part of OLO history.

He really is just another wannabe rightwing s*it stirrer who are part of those little Nazi cheer squads hijacking community disquiet because they are so desperate for any sort of publicity.

It is quite instructive browsing through the UPF facebook page. There is so much rhetoric about 'communists', 'lefties', and 'Zionists' that even some of the other UPF members are flagging it.

“Dean Kleidon I think we are losing the cause, these pages are more about defeating the left then defeating muslims”

“Peter Wolf Yep.. the left are sponsored by zionist think tanks and government. The only true revolutionary people in the world today are nationalists. The sniveling left are fanatical traitors indoctrinated with the biggest threat to western civilization. Altruism!”

Gate crashing rabble rousing riffraff are really the lowest.

Steele,
No I think you'll find that the camera does not lie, but Fairfax, WIN and Socialist Alliance do, the numbers were nowhere near equal and almost all the counter protestors were from Melbourne. UPF organiser Blair Cottrell is actually grumbling that the Bendigo people took over his rally and made it too multicultural, he's stated that he wished he'd asserted himself a bit more but acknowledged that it was their town and he has no business telling them what they can and cannot do or say.
This is the Anti Racism Rally in Bendigo Yesterday at full strength, I may have actually over estimated their numbers, there looks to be less than 100 people

Steele, The Herald Sun puts attendance at the UPF rally at 1,000, the UPF are more conservative and claim 600-700, The Age initially reported the counter rally as about 20 locals and 50 from Melbourne, though it may have been as many as 100 with curious onlookers joining in.
The UPF and Catch The Fire gathered 1500 signatures on a petition against the Mosque over the course of the day, so it's not a small movement in a town the size of Bendigo.
The fact remains, the UPF comprises only ten men, they were invited to speak by Bendigo residents and it was Bendigonians who organised and directed the demonstration with an estimated 60 people traveling from other parts of the state and a few from interstate.

SRX Yes I figured that is what it was.
This UPF is against the labor party, it’s a front for anti Muslim race hate. Who set this up Abbott, Bendigo just happens to be a labor represented town, both State and Federal.

So this mob are Far right Conservatives, and Racists, and the other lot are anti racist and labeled Left wing. That sounds very convenient to me.

I would dispute the validity of that labeling. How many of the UPF thugs were amongst the Left wingers as you call them. Nothing is good when both sides have to be separated. The whole thing sounds like a set up.

The police said 2 knives were confiscated during the day. and a couple of other items. There was 2 choppers floating around Saturday arvo. With the two opposing teams separated how did the fights come into it.

That facebook site is a Rant of mega proportions, We do not need such stupid language used. It is set up for persons that want to cause trouble, this is where you get your extremism training from. With venues to carry out your extremism. That is what it said to me loud and clear.

It would have to come close to being a terrorist site. It is inciting racist and violent behavior. I trust in our law , and i say that site would be closely monitored. Probably what all the special cameras were about, from the air as well.

I have never seen any sort of protest or whatever it is called, like this ever in Bendigo before. No doubt it has cost a lot of money to control, let alone Saturday traders closing, and the wine festival that was cancelled. Not the way to gain friends. I do not know why it was allowed to happen. The forest street McKenzie street Corner was blocked off early last week.

I reckon the showground’s should be the venue for protests or demonstrations. That way interested persons could go to the showground’s to see what interests them, without disrupting traders or shoppers.

Successive governments have lost their way as they focus more on the likes of 'how many women do we have on the front bench', or 'whether or not two gays can marry.

I note just today that they are in talks with Muslim leaders.

Hang on, why on earth do we even have Muslim leaders here in the first place, because after all, they came here seeking a better life. All we are doing is allowing them to continue their barbaric ways in our country, and in many circumstances, with the support of the tax payer as many have several wives, ten kids and refuse to work.

If only we had someone with balls and a big stick, but then the squeaky wheel brigade would soon put a stop that that as well.

Hopefully at 55 I won't be here to see them take over, but I can't help but feel for my kids, and their kids because the peace loving nation both they and myself were brought up in is fast deteriating as we watch and no one of power seems to care.

A huge error in judgment.
