Monarchists - Unspeakable Truths

Australia never has been, nor ever will be a Monarchy. For instance, Monarchies have Palaces, where is the Australian Palace? We’ve never had one, we were a Colonial Outpost under Monarchial control. I am proud of my British ancestry, which began nearly 190 years ago in Australia, but I am also a realist. Monarchists unfortunately seem to apply selective historical interpretation.

Teutonic Democracy

Monarchists often limit their timeline of history by looking no further back than England and its Magna Carta as the source of all Democracy and freedom in the world.
They simply ignore the fact that the seeds or the ‘Germs' of freedom and democracy actually originated in early continental Teutonic Communities. Britain was the recipient or the conduit of this sense of freedom and democracy, it was not the originator! The first parliament in the world was in Iceland, not England for the very same reason.

Do modern day Monarchist’s understand why England named the Teutonic peoples Germans? Or Germ-man? It’s an historical fossil record you simply cannot ignore. Here’s another hint from the 1919 book titled 'Taswell-Langmead’s English Constitutional History,’ ‘Origin of the English’, the Germanic element is predominant. 'Ancient German Polity,’ 'the Germs of our [English] Constitution are to be found in the institutions of the TEUTONIC IMMIGRANTS.’ The ultimate source of the English language and the ultimate source of English democracy is Teutonic Continental Europe. Not to mention Teutonic beer.

Monarchists also claim the work of others to be the work of a Constitutional Monarchy. They ignore the struggles over the centuries of hundreds if not thousands of socially conscience individuals, politicians and military leaders. For instance, they claim the prosperity that most ordinary working Australians enjoy today is because of our Constitutional Monarchy. Credit is fully due to the Labour movement that emerged from
the struggle against the hellish conditions of the Industrial Revolution and the inhumane and cruel use of Children as Slave Labourers.

Labor could have given the exasperated taxpayers a President Julia (Ms Galah'd) - a bargain, eh? Whatever has happened to her consort?

otb,

For your information:

The Australian Constitution can be changed
only by a law passed by the Commonealth Parliament
and approved by a majority of voters across Australia
and in the majority of states. The process is called
a referendum. Since Federation in 1901 only eight
out of 44 proposals to amend the Constitution have been
approved.

Dear Sense,

Australia is a federal nation.
The Constitution establishes a federal system
which involves a national government and state
governments. It is also a parliamentary democracy.
The Constitution established a national parliament
which is elected by the Australian people on a regular
basis. Australia is a constitutional monarchy. The
Queen's role is established by the Constitution.

However, the Queen does not play a day-to-day role in
Australian government. The Governor-General, appointed
by the Queen on the advice of the Prime Minister is the
Queen's representative in Australia.

The Governor-General normally acts on the advice of the
Prime Minister and other-ministers of the Australian
Government. He or she is completely independent of the
British Government.

The Queen is a constitutional monarch - which means that
she acts entirely on the advice of the Australian Government's
Ministers who are responsible to Parliament.

At her coronation on 2 June 1953 - the Queen swore an oath
to govern the peoples of Australia and her other realms
"according to their respective laws and customs."

Dear Foxy,

Yes, everything you state is absolutely correct. Australia, the Nation came into being at midnight December 31, 1900, as directed by Royal Proclamation. But, whilst we may have been a single Nation of one people, we were still under the Colonial direction, thus we were not an Independent Nation.

I now think disagree with Anne Twomey's opinion that Australia became legally independent nation on March 3rd, 1986.

As long as Section 61 in the Australian Constitution exists formerly, regardless of High Court judgments, we are not Independent Country.

s61. The executive power of the Commonwealth is vested in the Queen and is exercisable by the Governor-General as the Queen's representative, and extends to the execution and maintenance of this Constitution, and of the laws of the Commonwealth.

Sense,
You need to explain what it is that you are on about.

What is the purpose of your post and do you have a point of view on a subject?

Right now the post makes no Sense or apparent purpose.

Is it about the current Greek monetary crisis or marriage of homosexuals?

What are the unspeakable truths?
