Denmark's citizenship laws are some of the most
restrictive in Europe and in perhaps the best known and most controversial, tenet, a Dane can also be stripped of citizenship if they are convicted of crimes against the state but with the proviso that this would not render the person stateless. I am not familiar with the Sam Mansoor's case. Perhaps a link could be provided telling us the circumstances involved. I have found out that this is Mansoor's 2nd conviction on terror charges. In 2007 he spent 3.5 years in prison. It could well be that he's had several warnings and paid not attention to them. Anyway, here's a link to how Australians could lose their citizenship. It may be of some interest to compare: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-06-25/bradley-how-you-could-lose-your-citizenship/6572382 Posted by Foxy, Saturday, 4 July 2015 2:26:39 PM

<Convicted terrorist loses Danish citizenship
Published:01Jul2015 Sam Mansour, who has been dubbed ‘The Bookseller from Brønshøj’ and ‘al-Qaeda’s PR man in Denmark’, on Wednesday became the first ever Dane to have his citizenship revoked for illegal activity. The Eastern High Court on Wednesday sentenced Sam Mansour to four years in prison and expulsion from the country with no chance to return. The revocation of his Danish citizenship is historic, as never before has a Dane had ties severed to the country for violations of the law. The 55-year-old Danish-Moroccan was convicted for posting online threats, screeds, photos, links and messages that praise Osama bin Laden and call on his readers to join al-Qaeda’s al-Nusra front. Mansour has also posted videos of soldiers being executed in Syria and Iraq. Additionally, he was convicted on charges related to the editing and publishing of three books considered to be terrorist propaganda. The Danish press dubbed Mansour 'The Bookseller from Brønshøj' and he has also been viewed as a de facto 'PR man' for the terror group al-Qaeda...> http://tinyurl.com/qemhytk Posted by onthebeach, Saturday, 4 July 2015 3:17:44 PM

The following link from Reuters explains further:
http://www.reuters.com/article/2015-07-01/us-denmark-morrocco-deportation-idUSKCNOPB4X120150701 Apparently Sam Mansoor did have dual citizenship (Moroccon), and it does appear that his defense lawyer will try to appeal the decision. Whether that succeeds remains in the hands of the Danish court. Posted by Foxy, Saturday, 4 July 2015 4:34:34 PM

Citizenship in Australie is a real gift and anyone who abuses it is silly because this country is so great and kind, to do anything really bad againist it is very bad. The silly peoples who go to fight in middle east deserve to be sent away without there citizenship. It is like fighting againste Australie to fight in the middle east.

Our government's wishes are clearly shared with socialist Denmark. What do our dissenting friends think of that?
