And as for God given lands- there are some among the Arabs who would like to make the Arabian Peninsula a Muslim only zone (as it was during their "golden age").

And re the relationship between Jews & Arabs, it might help things if some sections of the Arab media & ulama stopped describing Jews as monkeys & pigs.

Israel is a settler state, created using the rubric of European colonialism and to solve the primarily European problem of antisemitism. The worst of Arab/Muslim antisemitism dates from after Israel's founding. Competing claims of what is God’s/Yahweh’s/Allah’s will in the distribution of Middle Eastern real estate are nothing more than nationalist myth making.

Israel is not alone as a modern state having colonial or settler origins. Others include: every country of North and South America, Africa, large slabs of Asia, other parts of the Middle East, and New Zealand. Have I forgotten any? Hmm.

Israel is not going to go away, any more than any other settler state of the world. Peace will not come to that part of the world until this reality is recognized, however reluctantly by some. A good start would be to leave deities out of it, and recognize the human historical facts, including the injustice done to the Palestinian people who were displaced, as well as the right of Israelis to live in peace and security.

Yes, of course Israel is wrong...and that's putting it mildly. Do the Geneva Conventions mean anything to you? Do you even care that war crimes- YET AGAIN- were violated by this state? Do yuo ever go to the websites of Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, The Red Cross and even read the lectures of Nelson Mandela? They all condemn Israel's actions.
Have you any idea of the cruelty of- and illegality- of the cluster bombs Israel left in the last few days?
Lord, how can you even ask? Forget the race, religion and colour of the protaganists. The invaders and occupiers are beneath contempt. They need to stop hiding behind the "poor us" propaganda.
