After the military actions in Lebanon there are left many issues to discuss to clarify the situation. Many people blame Israel for violent acts towards Lebanese civilians, but they say nothing about Hezbollah’s sending hundreds of rockets among Israeli citizens who survived thanks to good bomb shelters. Media and some official sources of information allege now that Israel used 350,000 bomblets and 20,000 cluster bombs (I found this information at http://samsonblinded.org/blog/?p=116). Actually these figures are incredible and seem just exaggerated - a standard practice of the media. Moreover, Israelis attacked the territory already left by Lebanese citizens, who were warned to flee with the help of leaflets. So, is Israel so wrong in its actions?!!

All the video's, photos and interviews by civilian observers show Hizzbollah only firing from the countryside. Israel is a settler state, created using the rubric of European colonialism and to solve the primarily European problem of antisemitism. The worst of Arab/Muslim antisemitism dates from after Israel's founding. Competing claims of what is God’s/Yahweh’s/Allah’s will in the distribution of Middle Eastern real estate are nothing more than nationalist myth making.

Israel is not alone as a modern state having colonial or settler origins. Others include: every country of North and South America, Africa, large slabs of Asia, other parts of the Middle East, and New Zealand. Have I forgotten any? Hmm.
