The world of commercial TV serves us a diet of stupid, mindless, endless advertising which now include the programs themselves. I personally find it refreshing to be able to watch Aunties series of RAKE. I understand that it was inspired by the real life character of barrister Charles Waterstreet. I have often speculated who in real life are the many other characters depicted?

I also enjoy RAKE. Great viewing.
The ABC certainly produces some really great series.
I wonder how the cut backs are going to
affect what we'll be able to watch in the
future. We'll proably be limited with our
viewing choices. Reality TV and chat shows

Absolutely loved Rake! Had me howling with delight on more than one occasion.

I also loved how cheeky it was in taking the piss out of real people. Col McGregor doing a thinly disguised but excellent Andrew Bolt and Tiggy Fullerton (?) as a Gina caricature, capturing Twiggy Forrester in the name was a neat touch too. The corruption of the politics, the rump of NSW Labour all beautifully sent up. Top shelf viewing in anybody's book.
