We Australians seem to judge this issue as not very important to us.
By and large we ignored the facts in the GFC.
We give more thought to house repayments and can we squeeze in a second car and the big screen TV without too much pain.
Yet we blame Nations for doing what we do, living on credit.
The difference is we want so much from government and refuse to consider the day must come that credit ends and we must repay.
America invented mass credit and we all live by it, keeping the machine we call capitalism running.
