When I was a young bloke, the only free hospitals were in Queensland, paid for by the casket, [lottery].
Hasbeen, Yep, that bad,bad Joh. I have advocated many times to introduce a Government run Lottery to win a wage for life etc. It would do so much for unemployment, building & the economy in general. that reminded me BACK then..in..the joe times..which..look's..better looking back THE ONLY GAMBLING..ALLOWED was the casket..that GAM-BLING..in total .,.did cover..*the full cost..PLUS dental so lets tax ALL GAMBLING.. The point of the tax rebate was to encourage wealthier people to use a private service instead of the public hospitals. Since the rebate was removed, private heath insurance premiums have dropped, and the number of people using the public system has increased about 11%, leading to longer queues and poorer service for those not on insurance.

When others who don't work or never have worked or never will work or need medical attention due to drunkeness then they get priority & don't have to pay.
