Hope you don't mind if I post this link here - as the subject matter is on "climate".

Lexi,

The "News" that the contract for an overseas detention centre recognises that it is more difficult to provide the same level of service as a mainland detention centre is as banal as discovering that the sun is going to rise tomorrow.

So sorry, SM.

A thousand pardons (and all that)

Whodathunk the Arctic melting had anything to do with the need for a carbon tax.

My mistake.

Shadow Minister: "The subject is "carbon tax" "

Thanks, mate, I was just wondering. But in fairness to Poirot, I suppose there might be a very indirect link between the annual melting of sea-ice in the Arctic Ocean, and an Australian carbon tax. I just can't stand seeing those polar bears trying to jump further and further from ice-floe to ice-floe as they melt, it's so cruel.

Where's that bloody hanky ?

Never mind, Joe, it's not all bad.

I just had a vision of Loudmouth jumping to and fro on the disappearing bergs, sloshing around in the melt with only his sarcasm to keep him afloat.

Made my day!

: )

And Poirot as an Orca, just waiting for this floppy, over-weight, aged bear as it vainly tries to get from one to the other - scary !
