Seems serial grub Slippery Pete has managed to get his miserable self in the news yet again, this time for allegedly not paying his bill from Maurice Blackburn. According to a report in todays Courier Mail, the firm, which represented Mr Slipper after ex-staffer Ashby complained about sexual harrassment, claims $237,086 is owing.

Seems karma is gradually catching up with Slipper.

The history on this guy is amazing. How does he keep getting pre-selected and worse voted in. This has been going on for a long time, well before he sat in the Speaker's chair.

We certainly bred some 'interesting' ones. Assuming the electoral office isn't completely rigged, there must be some pretty dumb sheeple on this planet to elect Slippery Pete again and again. I haven't checked but maybe there wasn't anyone else & he got up by default ?? I couldn't believe it when the clown started on with all that ceremonial speakers crap, like is this turkey all there in the top story ??

Hi Praxidice,

We'll see at the next election, won't we ? My money is on Slipper either not standing, or standing and getting less than 20 % of the primary vote.

Can't wait ! Only 99 days to go ! And then what larks, Praxidice, what larks !

We are in uncharted waters this time. Never before has there been such a distaste for both majors AND a third option with candidates in all house & senate seats, The sheeple could do absolutely anything, however there is no doubt a vote for Slippery Pete (assuming someone is stupid enough to take the clown on) should be matched with a free ticket to the best shrink on planet earth.

Hi Praxidice,

As a lifelong (but unpaid) member of the Sheeple's Party of Australia (SPA), I have every confidence in the decision of the Sheeple. You and I may not like it, but that's how democracy works.

And in time, we may be surprised to find that what they decide, in their bone-ignorance, turns out to be right on the money.

Only 98.02 days to go ! Isn't politics exciting ?!
