Of course Malala was picked out. She ran a blog or a campaign for
girls to be educated. That is all there was to it, nothing more. Anyone complaining about the drone strikes does not know what is really going on in the world. It is hard not to know, but no one is so stupid as those who don't want to know. Just for the benefit of the stupid; There IS a war going on, just in case you did not know ! Warfare has changed its character, it is no longer large armies driving across countries wiping all enemies out as they go as it was at Stalingrad, the Bulge, the Somme, Malaya etc etc. It is a world war taking place everywhere from the Southern Phillipines to the Middle East and the streets of Europe. We have been fortunate so far as we have not had the enemy doing any more than planning and that has been nipped in the bud by ASIO & AFP. Anyone who wants to ignore this is not capable of making reasonable comments on the war. Posted by Bazz, Monday, 8 April 2013 10:00:45 AM

Dear all,
Let's get a few thing straight. Of course the point that outrage over Malala's shooting should also extend to those children who are victims of drone strikes. America's use of these weapons by its spy forces in a sovereign country who has repeatedly rejected their deployment in its skies is despicable, against international law, and morally bankrupt. However can I warn again about reacting to this gentleman. He is a virtual troll who rarely if ever engages with those who respond. But even putting that aside, his insinuations it may well be others, not Taliban or other Muslims who instigated the shooting of this girl, are patently ridiculous. In fact 2 days before he posted this on OLO he responded to an article on the Huffington Post's website. There his opening paragraph read; “If Taliban attacked her because she attended school then there were many who were attending the same school along with her ... why didn't they shoot all of them ... Why only her? This is the way Americans work ... They brought an idol and shot her or got her shot .... they killed their own Ambassador to kill Zia-ul Haq.” http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2013/04/05/malala-makes-first-donation-angelina-jolie-_n_3018623.html It is accusations like these and the rejection of the self evident that should have us view him as the ideologue that he is. Dear Paul 1405, To uncritically accept what this person is putting you, saying “I totally support your post.” and calling him “My newest and dearest forum friend”, does not leave you in the best light my friend. Bazza's “Anyone complaining about the drone strikes does not know what is really going on in the world.” in a very real sense echoes Iftikhar's mentality and ideological dislocations. As I consider you at least redeemable I offer this advice for what it is worth, you sir would do well not to follow their path. Posted by csteele, Monday, 8 April 2013 7:52:24 PM

csteele, do you think based on one post that what's his name posted is my “My newest and dearest forum friend". Just a bit of a gee up for me olde sparing partner Belly. true to his form Belly bit like a crocodile
My serious view is, as I did post; "The point is we should condemn all atrocities, the latest being the killing of 11 children by the US and its lackeys in Afghanistan, shame on these murderous bsatards. I condemn all in this world who would perpetrate such evil, be they the Taliban, Uncle Sam or anyone else." Posted by Paul1405, Monday, 8 April 2013 8:33:04 PM

"so far as we have not had the enemy doing any more than planning and
that has been nipped in the bud by ASIO & AFP." Bazz, you fail to mention the courageous and selfless work being done in the defense of Aussie from those hoards of the yellow peril and other savage unmentionables, by the good ladies of the CWA. Yes, if it was not for Blanch and her happy bunch of bakers down at the CWA, keeping the home fires burning, so to speak, where would we be, who would be there in our darkest hour with tea and scones? ASIO, the AFP? I think not, it would all be left to those wonderful gals of the CWA! So please give a modicum of credit to the good ladies of the CWA?..... Sorry, I may be confusing the efforts of the CWA ladies with the outstanding defense of Australia undertaken by the YWCA girls. certainly not ASIO or the AFP! IS on his Crusade again challenging Western values and freedoms. It is better we do not engage him in a war of words as this is part of his fight. When he can demonstrate a free Islamic society that is not mentally at war we will listen.
