I do wonder just why Labor supporters would be proud of the greens passing so much of their desired legislation through through the mule that is our parliament.

It really is humiliating for any proud Ozzie to watch this fool woman play act at P M while abandoning the legislature to the greens to play with as they will.

Yes OT, I too think the school halls program was a good idea, just poorly managed.

In fact, some rip off builders quoted scandeless amounts for jobs, and won the contracts.

Had an expert, say a retired building exec, the likes of a Watpac CEO or similar, been engaged to oversee the process, millions, perhaps billions could have been saved.

And I agree, we need to be concerned, especially when one side says it will cost some 50 billion for the NBN, epwhile the other say they can provide a great system for around 10% of this.

As a layman, like myself, who do you believe, as none of the government ministers have up to date experience in the this filed.

It's all about delivery.

The stimulus was the right way to go, it wasn't about saving money, it was getting money into circulation as quick as possible. With great results. All of the great people of the world , says that was the exact antidote.

579, you say it wasn't about saving money, sure, but I dont think wasting money was the way to go either.

Now as for having the support of the worlds greatest, well, just look where they have led their countries!

Hardly what I would consider, highly respected advice.

The Italians have a great opinion on financial advice, and that is, ,don't take advice from someone who has less money than you do'.
