"Dear Mr Evans and Mr Heaton-Harris, Chairman of the All Party Group on Wind Farms
The result of the Public Inquiry in to Peel Energy's application to build a wind farm on the Frodsham and Helsby marshes is expected shortly. However, our team recently received a copy of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) from the Inquiry team and advised that we had until the 11th May to compare our Statement of Case to the Inquiry against the principles of Sustainable Development contained therein. Despite the short timescale we were given; this we have done and a copy has been attached to this email.
It is a good read and we have demonstrated that the Peel Energy's application fails to comply with 12 (out of 13) of the principles of Sustainable Development. Unfortunately, there is considerable evidence already in the public domain of this Government's total cynicism when dealing with such issues and we expect that our valid objections to this application will be simply ignored and a scheme that should be unequivocally rejected will be approved.
The Team encourages you to take note of our objections including the proposals failure to comply with a substantial number of the Sustainable Developments principles contained within the NPPF and vigorously challenge any Government decision to approve the scheme. In the event that the scheme is approved, we would, also, encourage you to determine the basis of their approval given the evidence we have presented against Peel Energy's application".
Yours sincerely
Don Bailey
Surely Australians have the smarts to realize that we are actually 20 years behind the old mother country and could learn from their disasterous policies?
