I am just discussing about technology. I think technology is updating too quickly. Where are the people skills? It certainly won't be good for children of tomorrow. No wonder children these days are getting obese. Because even children get to sit in front of a t.v. playing games and not going outside to play which, isn't good. Children need to play not being stuck in front of a television. What for?
Where are those times that children played?!

maria quote/'I think technology is updating too quickly.""

so do i
but such is the game

do you really think leaving off a web-cam..
on the i-pad was an accident

it was so people will buy the next model
[watch the next one..*will have plug-in ability]

its about selling 3
not just one

same with mobile phones

how it goes is
you invent a new invention
then strip off..all the latest mods
then gradually..put them back-on over the next season's

[its caled inbuilt obsolesance]
con-sumerism

its a capitalist law

""Where are the people skills?""
we [they]..are talking more than ever
..if there wasnt a web..
i[we]..wouldnt be talking..
to anyone

""it..won't be good for children of tomorrow.""
dont worry they talk to others
even more than we do

AND got more to talk about

""children/obese."'
this is from eating protein poor [junk]food
and being carried around..like little kings
instead of walking

blame the parents
not the kids

""t.v. playing games
and not going outside to play""

the media loves beating up fear
fear sells product..

a computer costs more
than a footbal
[ie back to capitaism]

""Children/stuck
in front of a television.""

you know where they are
rather than woried..they been stolen by perverts
and killed in the local park

""What for?""

its their only choice
[who bought the tv
THAT filled their little minds..with fear

when did you last
both go to the park..together?

""Where are those times
that children played?!""

with other children?
or just play games?

life is a play
it slowly unfolds
as we each make our lifes choices

It is always about balance when parenting Maria. Technology has amazing benefits for children and their learning as does building forts out of sticks in the back yard.

You have to guide them and have an understanding of what technology they’re making use off to keep them safe.

How cool is being able to track where your kids are through their mobiles? Technology itself is a balance and can be used for good or bad same as anything else.

Both good and bad can be made of anything.
I think education is one of our best assets, and that it alone justifies time spent on a computer.
Once it was TV that bought fears before that no doubt Radio.
If one part of the world stops growth and education in an effort to return to a slower life it will contribute to its own death.

I'm not really worried about technology being 'too fast' Maria.

Our world is always changing, and if our kids want to be successful in life, then they need to learn all about everything!

Our grandparents lamented the fact that the 'devils music' that was rock and roll would poison all the kids minds, and they would all become Godless, sex-mad deviants.

It didn't turn out that way... or at least my parents turned out ok :)

Our parents believed that the dreaded television would ruin their kids and cause all sorts of problems, but I think most of us turned out alright.

Our children will have new challenges with their kids lives too... and so the circle of life goes on.

Hopefully the next generation will have worked out the problem of obesity in our world.
One thing is for sure, technology didn't 'cause' obesity.
Ready availability of fast foods, lack of exercise and the high fat foods made available to kids by their parents has caused obesity.

Suze:”Hopefully the next generation will have worked out the problem of obesity in our world.”

Wii started awhile ago, I think they’re brilliant for rainy days. I went looking for an example and found this article. I think they now have specific weight loss ones as well.
