Th 24/03/11... Just watched Eddy Mc put a couple thru the torture chamber. What an abismal, diabolic game program. I won't be the least bit surprised to see complete family breakdowns/suicides; if this show continues this year. A shameful waste, tv integrity?...

Change the channel! Problem solved.

I think there's a little more to it than "change the channel".

When I saw that Eddie McGuire was about to make yet another appearance on Channel Nine (he must have incriminating photographs, surely) I did a quick look-up of the history of the programme, and the way it worked.

Whether we like it or not, programmes like these are amazingly popular in Europe and the US, and a new "twist" is required each time to turn a quiz show into a "can't-avert-my-eyes" drama.

Some of them achieve a balance between the requisite high tension and personal humiliation of contestants. From what I read, this one does not.

But if it fails to get the ratings, don't kid yourself, there will be another one along soon, with a different gimmick. And it is possible that it will be even more tacky.

Incidentally, has anyone ever seen Eddie McGuire and Darryl Somers in the same room? Spooky...

So, why are you watching it? The only shows that are REMOTELY interesting to me are on on Sunday night. That's all I watch. The entire free to air programming is a joke.

Actually, I only watched the first episode, but I quite enjoyed it.

I thought the questions were not to difficult and I got most of them right, although some were wrongly worded, such as, in which town .....?

All those mentioned, Toowoomba, Townsville and Cains are actually cities, so to me that is wrong.

And of cause, what would a modern day program be without some 'gay content'.
