Alan Jones' Carbon Tax Protest; Watered Down?

Last week Alan Jones proposed a carbon tax protest in Sydney. The response was enormous with 8000 in one day saying they would attend.Alan will only give it a mention now when someone rings in.It puzzles me why the passion is suddenly evaporated.Could it be some official has warned about creating uprising like that of Egypt or has the response even overwhelmed him ?

Alan plays the old left right paradigm really well.Today when Harley the correspondent from the USA rang in, Obama was the do gooding, weak lefty who is going to close Guantanamo Bay and end the practise of torture.Gotta get those evil terrorists. He neglected to mention that Obama has brought in Preventative Detention and wants to instigate Prolonged Detention of suspected terrorists without due process of law.

So ring in between 6.00 -9.00am Mon -Fri on 131873 and ask Alan about the Carbon Tax protest. Why is it on Wednesday 23rd of March when most are working? Would not the weekend be better when more people can attend?

of course its been waterd down

lets face it
this tax is about getting into buying and selling carbon credits
ie creating a brandnew trading commodity

one that reduces its cap each year
thus limiting supply[and ENSURING an ever increasing price]

allen no doudt got wised up
by his payed to advertise banker mates

and has layed of resisting the topic
only mentioning it as he gets shamed into recalling it

i cant ring up
they got my number on the list

they do get a great coverage
[which is why there is never a shortage of callers
on any topic..no matter how insane]..but he is part of the system

and the system wants a tax first
to set a market minimum price

then trading it..under reducing terms
and increased prices...guess what happens when they corner the market?

its a commodity traiters dream

Gotta hand it to you Arjay. Always on the lookout for a government conspiracy.

>>Could it be some official has warned about creating uprising like that of Egypt or has the response even overwhelmed him ?<<

The reality - if only you had bothered to check - is far more mundane.

CATA decided to hold a rally in Canberra on that day.

http://www.thechookpen.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=5014

"... as Parliament will be sitting on that date, it's best that we give our full focus and protest in that main arena of the nation's capital."

And because it will be the same rent-a-crowd in both cities, holding the rallies on the same day would be counter-productive.

"Anyone requiring bus coach transport could you please email me your interest and how many ASAP, I already have coaches ready to take bookings, the cost for a return ticket is $25,"

But thanks anyway for your vigilance Arjay, what would we do without you.

Be careful naming people without their consent. Inciting a gathering is not the way to go. Especially when no one knows what the carbon tax arrangement is. Both sides agree on a tax it's a matter of how to do it.
Toni wants to tax the user, and julia wants to tax the polluter.

I would be much more interested to have someone in the MSM/Public Broadcasters, respond to the analysis of Greg Combet’s “basis” for the CO2 Tax.

If we are proposing such a tax, why has the media not challenged any of the political and political advisor statements? Seems there is plenty of controversy.

Or a response from OLO’ers for that matter
