Sonofgloin <"Semitic peoples are pains collectively, but great individually, it’s a cultural thing and I don’t want it growing in my community….oops too late."

Gee, what would happen if we were Indigenous Australians having a chat and we changed one word in that comment?
"European peoples are pains collectively, but great individually, it's a cultural thing and I don't want it growing in my community...oops too late."
Yeah, that's better.

What would be the point in sending asylum seekers back to defend a country they just fled from? They are hardly likely to be of any benefit to our fighting forces already there, and indeed may cause more trouble than they are worth, if they are forced to do something they don't want to do.

Suzeonline, a valid point, as "putting the shoe on the other foot" generally is. The difference is that the Aboriginal peoples of this land did not have a choice or the power to alter the situation, we in the 20th century did and I stand by my personal observation that Semitic peoples are pains in the posterior who carry cultural baggage that has changed little from the middle ages. That is the problem, not place of origin per se.

Sonofgloin. Your generalization of everyone in a whole group of peoples as being <"...pains in the posterior who carry cultural baggage that has changed little from the middle ages." is a disgrace, and is racism at the extreme end of the scale.

I only hope you are simply being a troll on this thread.

Well,well, well!.....just as I predicted, a very
lack-lustre response to what I considered to be
a very sensible suggestion?

It is quite obvious now from the response to this
Thread that the cross-sectional representation are
totally opposed to my suggestion, and apparently
are quite happy to welcome the increasing hordes of
"Asylum Seekers/Boat People" who have contributed
not one iota toward out Taxation system and who take
advantage of this caring community and dine at the
the table of the long-suffering taxpayer,(a rapidly
diminishing entity) thus further stretching the public
purse for the sake of political and economic expediency.

I might also add that any man of conscriptable age who
indicates that he will NOT fight for his own country
should NOT be allowed residency here!..( and before
you do-gooders unsheath your knives)..I served my
country for 21 years, but I could still call myself a
limited pacifist!

This problem that we are ALL facing now, will bring
radical changes to our cultural, religious and economic
futures. We are sadly following down the path that
the "United Kingdom?" has taken, but like the spoilt
child, does not learn from his mistakes, instead we
continue to wallow in our self-indulgent trough of
feigned colonial security, forever looking at the US
as saviour in the event of any future threat!

Yes Crackcup, we have bequeathed our grand kids a whole lot of pain, with our "superior" approach to humanity. We will find to our cost that much of the rest of humanity has some distance to go, before achieving the lofty ideals of some of our policy formers.

I do hope that there are some of us old service men are still around to help when the Cronulla riots become something a bit more serious. Most of the younger population only seem to be able to fight when drunk.
